The Great American Beer Festival is there in the fall every year.

Denver sucks, but it's a good beer town.

Great publication. I read it quite a bit. It's The Onion for alchoholics.

As for the Great American Beer Festival- it is an absolute BLAST. Nowhere can you find 2,500 people drunk off their azzes doing shots of beers from around the globe. Whenever anyone drops their cups, the immediate standing crowd around the drunken idiot will raise their cups and yell, "YYEhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!"

You'll hear several pockets of people yelling each time they see someone drop their cups....A lot of tits, a lot of action, but best of yet- a lot of drunk women to choose from.

Y'know, I think I've read about that GABF before... and probably started a thread w/ a very similar title to this one when I did.

Here's a description of the finale of the last "Clash of the Tightest" drinking contest.

And, an interview with the winner...

I'm an especially big fan of this excerpt of the interview:

What to do when teetering on that fine line between blitzed and totally and irrevocably ****ed up: Shots.

I'm sorry, Rain Man. I'll be sure to attend the next drinking contest you host at your home.

My brother went to it a couple of years ago, told me there was any kind of beer imaginable. The two that stuck with me he mentioned were chocolate and jalapeno beer.No thanks,I thought.

As for your thread, someone started one to you about this a month or so ago but I'll be damned if I remember who.

That's where you get sick....and a LOT of peeps get sick at the GABF because they make the mistake of drinking dark ales/lagers, and then a fruity beer, and then a chocolate beer, and then a dark beer, a light beer, etc., etc....

You gotta go easy and stay with the darks for a bit, then the lights, and if you dare try a jalepeno beer - then it won't be so bad. I'm already looking forward to this year's fest.

I've had chocolate stout before. It's not like it tastes like a Hershey bar or anything... don't let the name throw you off. I've seen pepper beer at the liquor store (I don't think it was a jalapeno, but I didn't pay close attention). I didn't have any desire to try that one.

Eh, whatever. If you throw up, you've just made room for more beer.

Actually, Denver's most famous attribute makes it the perfect place for a drunkard to visit.

As enticing as throwing you off a mountain sounds, I fear there may be legal ramifications that I'm less than interested in.

Actually, there are some spots at the summit of Pike's Peak where a body would never be found. Well, at least that's what the hitch hiker told me a few weeks ago when I was down there.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think he told me you could get a free 1oz sample of each beer and there were 600+ varieties to sample?
