Packers' Favre to Play in 2005

Associated Press reports Green Bay Packers QB Brett Favre will officially return for the 2005 season. Favre, as reported, had previously been mulling over potential retirement.

In other Packers news...

ESPNews reports the Packers have released S Darren Sharper.

They say this saved the Pack 3.4 million bucks against the cap this year. Isnt he one of the dudes with the "predator" hair?

not really... i think safety was a big problem last year.


all those passes where McCleon got beat deep over-the-top??


our free safeties punk @ss should of been there to help, but he was always a step or 2 late.

safeties is a big need ... we just happen to have a million safeties already on the roster and need to find one of them to fill the spot instead using more resources on our safety "black hole"

theoretically the safeties will have fewer LB's to look after this year, so they'll be available over top

McKenzie is with the Saints.

McKenzie is with the Saints.
But he had the hair, and played for the Pack for the rest of career. Probably safe to think that's who he might have been thinking of.
