I was quite surprised to pay $2.31 here recently for 91 Octane. I didn't realize it had gone that high. Fortunately, I don't drive much, so I only buy gas once a month or so.

I really don't pay attention to the gas prices.

I'm kinda caveman like when it comes to gas. Car need gas, I get car gas.

It's been crowded as heck since January because it's "season" here, but now the college kids are here. The only bad thing for them is that it's been cloudy and raining for most of the last week.

Malibu gas station already charging more than $3 a gallon

MALIBU, Calif. Are Californians ready to pay three dollars a gallon for gas? Some already are.
The 76 Union station on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu is doing brisk business despite self-serve pumps selling regular unleaded at three dollars, five cents a gallon and supreme unleaded at three dollars, 15 cents.
For Malibu residents who don't want to step out of their luxury cars or S-U-Vs, full serve pumps are selling fuel at three dollars, 33 cents for regular and three dollars, 38 cents for supreme.

$2.11 for regular unleaded. Thankfully, I don't drive much, so the prices haven't affected me much.

I'm also glad I don't drive a diesel. It's currently $2.80/gallon

Unfortunately, that will affect me, as it drives the price up on pretty much everything.

For those who don't know, www.gasbuddy.com is a good source of pricing info for quite a few areas.

Texarkana is small enough that Bob Dole typically checks his area's prices before heading to fill up.

If you account for inflation $3.00 is not expensive compared to prices in the late 70's and early 80's.

Bob Dole's decision to buy a car that requires 91+ octane couldn't have come at a worse time, apparently.

(The 12mpg city ain't helping the situation any, either.)

If Bob Dole finds a service station that has that deal, would Bob Dole please send Bwana an email and some directions? :thumb:
