Yep. A banjo. And a shotgun. A shotgun and a banjo.

As long as he doesn't tell you "you got a per-dy mouth boy" I think you're safe. :hmmm:

I tried to learn how to play the banjo. I've still got one underneath the bed. My wife refused to let me practice when she was around, though. Hell, I even annoyed myself when I was learning. Definitely one of the most annoying instruments to try to learn.

Though I had a friend living with me that was learning the trumpet one summer. That was pretty bad, too. I would be walking home from school and could hear him practicing from two blocks away. I pitied my neighbors. At least the banjo can be played somewhat quietly.

Dueling Banjos was actually a guitar and banjo composition, FYI.

While all of that sucks, try this on. My wife wanted a piano, so we bought one 5 years ago or so. It's been played maybe 15 times since we bought it.

I'd rather hear it than see it sitting there collecting dust.

:deevee:

At least if I'd burned the money I would have kept warm for a few minutes. Maybe I should just burn the piano...

Every hour on the hour you should go in there and play the Jaws thing. She will be wanting to do something soon with it then.

There's an old musicians joke that goes something like this.

Guy 1: Who's that guy over there?
Guy 2: Oh him? He's our drummer.
Guy 1: He couldnt learn to play a real instrument huh?

:D

Bowser

You need to one-up him. Learn to play the bagpipes.

Kinda like:

What do you call a guy who hangs around with a couple of talented musicians?

a drummer

Ok I got a couple for you all.

How many lead singers does it take to change a light bulb?

One, they just hold the bulb and the world revolves around them.

What do you call a drummer who just broke up with their girlfriend?

Homeless.

Why do bands have roadies?

To translate for the drummer.

Yeah. It's especially terrible for the lead singer. whom I don't know. He thinks by telling chicks he has a band that'll get them to go out with him. Problem is, is that that's all he talks about to them. It's freakin' hilarious to hear it. ROFL

I have a band.

Cool.

Yeah...there's four of us.

Great. So do you thi...

I'm the lead singer.

Off topic, but I went on a business trip to West Virginia once, and stayed in an old hotel where they put me in the "Flatt and Scruggs Suite." I was quite honored.

That guy sounds like he's got LSD(lead singer's disease). See the jokes I posted earlier in this post and you'll get the idea.

Yeah. It was kind of funny being in Appalachia and all, but truthfully, a lot of that bluegrass banjo music is pretty cool.

Yeah it's pretty bad here too. I got to drive 100 miles or more to find new guitars suitable to my style of playing.
