TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - A federal judge on Friday refused to order the reinsertion of Terri Schiavo's feeding tube, yet another setback for the parents of the brain-damaged woman in their battle against her husband to keep her alive.
For a second time, U.S. District Judge James Whittemore ruled against the parents, Bob and Mary Schindler, who had asked him to grant their emergency request to restore her feeding tube while he considers a lawsuit they filed.
The tube was removed a week ago on a state judge's order that agreed with her husband, who has said she has no hope for recovery and wouldn't want to be kept alive artificially. The Schindlers believe their daughter could improve and wouldn't want to die.
As of Friday morning, Terri Schiavo, 41, had been without food or water for almost seven days and was showing signs of dehydration - flaky skin, dry tongue and lips, and sunken eyes, according to attorneys and friends of the Schindlers. Doctors have said she would probably die within a week or two of the tube being pulled.

I really am getting to the point where I just wish a judge would say what they really mean:
"Yo, die bitch. Your parents shit is crampin' our style."

I wish her family would spend their time and energy with her, reflecting.
I have to tell you, MS may be a bigger man than I am. If I was in his shoes I know that I would be tempted to lock their asses out with all the changing stories, unfounded abuse allegations, etc. They're thowing anything they can think of at him not because they believe it but because they want to keep their daughter's shell alive.
What would you think of your family if they were saying those horrible things about the person you loved and married?
In a time that they should have all come together to celebrate a life they're just driving the wedge deeper.

In the opinion from the first trial (http://abstractappeal.com/schiavo/trialctorder02-00.pdf), Judge Greer talks about the point at which MS and the parents had a falling out. Here is what he wrote about the split:
During the period of time following the incident of February 25, 1990 the parties [MS and the parents] worked together in an attempt to provide the best care possible for Terri Schiavo. On February 14, 1993, this amicable relationship between the parties was severed. While testimony differs on what may or may not have been promised to whom and by whom, it is clear to this court that such severance was predicated upon money and the fact that Mr. Schiavo was unwilling to equally divide his loss of consortium award with Mr. and Mrs. Schindler. The parties have literally not spoken since that date.

Wow, could it be that the parent's real problem is that they didn't get any of the money? Could it be that THEY are, in fact, in the unsympathetic roll that people keep casting MS in?

Nah, that's simply conjecture....
all the changing stories, unfounded abuse allegations, etc.
You mean HIS changing stories? Or is there proof that these allegations are unfounded that I'm unaware of?

If you read the Guardian Ad Litem report requested by Gov. Bush in 2003 it states in there that the parents up to 2001 never disagreed with the Doctors that Terri was PVS. They have conviently changed their story in the last few years because Michael wanted to pull the feeding tube.
You can read the report here and decide for yourself...

No problem it is on page 29 of the document.
I have to amend what I said it doesn't list a date it just says recently and this document was made in late 2003.

Nah, that's simply conjecture....
Why? Because you have to believe that the parents are blameless in this fiasco?
What is your theory on why MS wants to pull the tube on his wife? He was reportedly offered a signficant amount of cash to walk away and he refused. He could certainly avoid the harsh criticism he's receiving if he were to turn her over to her parents. What is the motivation?

Exactly. It raises the question.
