They look pretty shell shocked right now.

WV is hot, but I'm a firm believer in live by the 3, die by the 3. THe law of averages says they should (should) cool off, and that's when Louisville will make a run. I still expect U of L to win this game.

10/13 from three.... sickening.... a 20 point lead. I expected WVU to hit their threes like usual but I thought Louisville was a team that could keep pace. Still a long way to go and a lot of three pointers to be made I'm guessing though....

I hate teams like WVU. They're either very scary, or so soft you could scoop them with a spoon. They only seem to be as good as their 3 point shooting. You absolutely have to have an inside presence, for rebounding and getting to the free throw line.

But if you're winning, I guess that's all that REALLY counts.

D'ior Fischer and Pittsnogle make a very good inside presence. They just shoot so well from the outside that they don't go inside much. WVU's very good at rebounding once a ball's been tipped in the air, and they aren't bad at getting to the line. Also, Fischer and Pittsnogle are both very good FT shooters. I agree that they're not very physical though.

I like their chances. They seem to have all of the pieces and are playing really well right now.

I've seen U of A play 8 or nine times, but I never saw Hasaan Adams play like he's played in the last 2 games.

He's the guy that seems to be the biggest matchup problem. If you get too close he goes to the hole and score or dishes. If you play of him, he drops in 3's.

Sure you can, just as I can comment on the fact that someone supporting a conference that had at least half of their teams invited (and three of them being a top 3 in their own bracket) and couldn't bust a single one into the Elite Eight just sounds silly mocking another conference for their shortcomings.

In other words, you sound like a Mizzou fan laughing at KU for losing.

You misunderstood the tone of my post. I was not mocking the ACC, nor was I comparing the ACC to the Big XII. I was mocking the national media who felt the ACC could do no wrong. The ACC was overrated all year long, and I can recall a couple of prognosticators (though specifics escape me), no less than 2 weeks ago, who predicted Duke, UNC, and Wake in the Final 4.

I'd say not enough evidence to overturn that.

It's a 3.... you couldn't even tell when it was magnified and pixelated... real tough call.

I think his toe is juuuust over the line... but I bet they don't call it a 2....
No way. with those blow ups, the camera angle is such that it's slightly behind the play, so if you factor parallax, I thought it was clearly behind the line.

I think it looked more like a 3 from those magnified shots, but the actual tip of the shoe is white and blended in extremely well with the 3 point stripe... if it went over the line it would've been tough to tell.

just shows you how close the top teams were this year.

I agree. Can you imagine the firestorm if they somehow overturned that call?

What do you mean by that? I've been watching it since 1955 and it looks very similar today as it did then.

I am think kids leaving to the nba so early has watered down the product. Just imagine if lebron and Melo atleast stayed until they were juniors. Wayne simeon is probably the player of the year, but you don't know how good he really is because all the good post players hop to the nba

I could've sworn that the other official said it was going to be Mich. State's ball there but pulled back when he saw the other ref's call...

Wow, what a stupid looking type of a play.

We go to the 2nd OT.

Looks like Rondo suffers from Aaron Miles syndrome. You have to make your move with about 10 seconds left in case your drive lane is shut off, or everyone is covered immediately, or you get a miss for a rebound opportunity.

Hopefully the NBA imposes a 20 year age limit like the NFL soon.

Same with the U of A final play last night. In fact, there have been a lot of crappy plays this tournament on last second situations.

Wow, that was bad. Kentucky didn't even foul immediately like they should had. Wasted some 10-15 seconds off of the clock.

90-86 Mich. St. with 12.2 to go.

Hayes had the guy for the foul in the backcourt, but selfishly, he didn't want to commit his 5th
