That would be a great draft. Carlos Rogers will be a great strongside corner in the years to come.

I'd worry about Blackstock's learning curve in fitting into a 4-3 scheme since he was basically a rush linebacker in the 3-4 throughout college, but that's not that big a deal. Canty if healthy will be a great prospect as a base end.

Laz, I love your first three pics. Not sure about Gibson for I haven't heard enough of him to warrant my approval. However, he does come from a highly talented program.

If we could get Blackstock in the second round, that would be outstanding. I just can't imagine him still being there.

What is the story with Blaystock? I watch a minimal amount of college ball and don't dive into the draft stuff to much.

Like the looks of it but, something tells me Vermeil will not be able to resist a backup TE or similar somewhere in the first three rounds.

edit: just caught the "my way" meaning. :thumb:

Blackstock is similar to Adam "Pac Man" Jones. A kid who played okay ball entering his final year, then has a good final year. After the season ends and the kid declares, the guy suddenly, for no apparent reason, starts shooting up draft boards.

Blackstock by most accounts had a pretty poor combine and was somewhat slow for an OLB. I think he's pretty much just a pass rusher. Not that good against the run, and not that good in pass defense. Virginia is one of 2-3 college teams that play a 3-4 and they used him very well. I don't think he's as good as the hype, nor do I think Pac-Man is as good as people think.

I believe that in the next week or so when the experts have to publish their final mocks, guys like Jones and Blackstock will fall and 4 year players who played solid each year - like Pollack will start climbing again.

voyager's prize pupil indeed. This draft sucks.

(I'm demonstrating how you mock a draft)

I like it, except for Blackstock.

He's a 3-4 rush specialist, not real big on him filling our need at OLB...

As far as the mock draft, I have come to the conclusion that the only guys I really want in round 1 are DJ, Rolle and Pollack. I think those three are the biggest impact players in this years draft.

2nd round I'm leaning toward Boley (OLB) and Michael Munoz and someone like Corey Webster.
