Nearly all of them I've tried and love.

Growing up with a summer lake house in the Ozarks was the best and one of my favorite things to do was simply wade out in the cove in the middle of the night when none of the boats were around.

I used to love taking the waverunning out into the main channel and flying over the wakes of the other boats.

I've done scuba and snorkeling. Swam with dolphins, sharks, and barricudas. Had a wave smash me up against a coral reef which cut me up pretty bad once.

Nothing beats a good day on the water- whether I'm boating, swimming, wading, diving, or hitting the waverunner- OR all of them.

Thanks a lot, Rain Man...now, I'm all teary-eyed and will need to book a trip home this summer.

After a lot of thought, I developed a system whereby I order the poll options in the order in which their first letter appears in the alphabet. Therefore, you can find 'kayaking' somewhere after activities that start with the letter 'j' and before activities that start with the letter 'l'. I call my system 'alphabetering.'

I love deep sea fishing.

I also like to take the boat by the local golf course that is on the water and blow the airhorn at golfers when they tee off.

I must ask. What is the allure of fishing? Is it actually catching the fish? Or is it something else? I'm curious, because it's obviously popular but I've never seen the attraction of it.

My uncle skiied about 18 mos before he died in his 70's. This was after he was down to about 1/2 a lung from the effects of lung disease.

Fishing is cool because it's like hunting. You get to grab life, exterminate it, eat and say "hey, I did all that."

Well in this case it's legal. And the things you kill are tasty.

I haven't done it since I was a kid, but I canoed down the Current River in southeast Missouri a couple of times. That was awesome - beautiful scenery and the water was cool and crystal clear. I really need to do that again.

I don't know. I haven't fished seriously since before I discovered girls seriously. The summers of my 14th and 15th years were spent collecting fishing equipment. That's part of it - collecting all that gear - lures, rods, reels, accessories, boats.... It's kinda fun - and expensive.

You think about fishing the same as I do. I think it is a primal urge that some of us haven't evolved out of yet. Same with hunting.

For me it was the beer. I can't speak for everybody else.

When I lived in Minnesota I had a bro-in-law who always took his 2 weeks vacation to spend it in a shack on a frozen lake with some buddies. He told me ice fishing was a great excuse for drinking heavily getting away from the mrs, drinking heavily, playing alot of poker and most importantly drinking heavily.

That is great, (that he was skiing of course) I still love to ski. I do not have the legs to carry my fat ass up on a slalom anymore though. My favorite, is to get my daughters together and have them ski at the same time just like when they were kids.

Where is the “sipping Tequila Rose and playing Arctic Up Periscope in the bubbles” option? If you were really playing arctic, that would mean cold water, so wouldn't there be some trouble raising the "periscope"? And you call yourself an engineer...

Well, at least you didn't say "sipping Tequila Rose and playing fountain in the bubbles".

Personally, I like playing 'the blurbit game'. That's the one where you create your own bubbles. Kind of like a poor man's hot tub.
