Bryan Adams at Community America Ballpark.

I find it somewhat amusing that these bands release a greatest hits project with 1 new song(and a cover at that)and it's considered a new release.Having never seen either of them though I may take it in,hell maybe we could make a Chiefsplanet get together out of it since it looks to be general admission seating.

KANSAS CITY – This summer, Def Leppard and Bryan Adams will give the phrase “Take Me Out To The Ball Game” a whole new meaning as they co-headline the Rock ‘N Roll Double-Header Tour. Two of the most popular rock acts to ever take the stage, they will team up for the first time and perform at 26 minor league baseball stadiums, including our own CommunityAmerica Ballpark, home of the T-Bones! The concert will take place on August 3, with gates to open at 5:30 pm and the show to begin one hour later. The stage will be set up in the outfield and fans can either bring a blanket to sit on the field or take a seat in the stands. All concerts take place on non-game days. Tickets are already on sale to T-Bone season ticket holders and will go on sale to the general public on April 2 at noon. (http://www.tbonesbaseball.com/view_release.asp?aid=406)

One of my first concerts was High N Dry.

I would love to go see them for the nostalgia factor.

I saw DL at the Houston Rodeo a couple years back. My tickets were free. I got ripped off.

Worst shit I've ever seen. OMG it was horrible.

48 bucks to see a drummer with one arm? I can go get a DVD of midgets in a circle jerk at Priscilla's for 19.95 for christs sake.

Yeah, but that's with your Midgets Screen Actors Guild discount.

Just because you're the catcher for the Lolipop Guild circle jerk doesn't mean you can be a hater Phil.

That just doesn't look right, reminds me of the time I went to see KISS and Molly Hatchet was the opener.

That's just because you don't know much about the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo. It's THE event of the year in Houston. It's 2 weeks of Rodeo and entertainment. They always have big name acts come through. Naturally, most of the entertainers are Country but they have 2 or 3 nights of other, mainstream acts as well.

This might be the worst concert bill I have every heard of.

Sorry to offend any Def Leppard fans they were a little before my time. If you are a Bryan Adams fan I have no sympathy for you. :shake:

No offense taken here,I wouldn't even consider myself a fan as I only own one DL cd and no Bryan Adams nor have I seen either of the two live.

I did think though that it'd be a great excuse for me to get out of town(knowing my mrs wouldn't go)see a few friends and drink some beer.

Oh - I'm definitely interested. Do we have to stay for the music?

I say go for it. Any excuse to see friends and drink some beer is a good excuse. Just be careful when you put your lighter in the air. :thumb:

Actually,I don't know shit about it,it just seemed a little odd to me kinda like the KISS-MH double bill.

Out of curiosity though, did DL suck because they were wasted, too loud or simply shoulda hung it up years ago?

Well we could just say that we're going and hang in the lot and use the $48 for beer.

I dunno - I didn't analyze it. It sounded like shit. I left.

I know it's not accoustics and I know it's not the sound system because I've seen dozens of acts in that venue who sounded really good.

One example of a bad venue for a concert is Minute Made Park with the roof closed. If the roof isn't gonna be opened, you don't want to go to a concert there.

Oh - it costs $48? I'm out. I'd pay $6 for the ballgame and stick around to laugh at the music for a few minutes, but $48 better include a blowjob if it's coming out of my pocket.

No way. A decade ago I watched an Iowa Cubs game, Foreigner, Skynard, and a fireworks show for $5. That was quality entertainment. $48 for DL and Adams better include a full car detail and a keg installed in my hat.

Yep,the more I think about it,I'd rather shell out $3 to go back and see Bob Walkenhorst and have a few beers there.

I've recently been seeing TV commercials for the Tempe Music Festival.... starring Live, Blues Traveler, and Collective Soul.

Apparently, it's 1995 in Tempe.

Maybe if the opening act was the Gin Blossoms or Hootie and the Buttplugs.

I'd love to see that show. I'm still a big fan of both Leppard and BA's glory years..... but alas..... August 3rd is my daughters' 9th birthday.
