CHIEFS AGREE TO TERMS WITH T THOMAS BARNETT
Apr 08, 2005, 9:45:07 AM

Chiefs President Carl Peterson announced on Friday that the club had agreed to terms of a two-year contract with free agent T Thomas Barnett. As per club policy, no further terms of the agreements were announced.

Barnett (6-4, 314) rejoins the Chiefs after attending training camp with the club in 2004. He started 10 games for the Amsterdam Admirals of NFL Europe a year ago, helping the club average a league-high 4.2 yards per carry.

The Kansas State product played in 49 games (43 starts) as a four-year letterman for the Wildcats. Barnett opened all 13 games at left tackle as a senior and earned honorable mention All-Big 12. He was a four-year starter at Millwood High School in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

:hmmm:

signing all these role players tell me that after agreeing to a contract extension with surtain that chiefs have decided what they will allocate for a CB(surtain or Law) and that's it.

they will sign/trade for surtain or law ... cut morton and go into the draft.

if they don't get surtain/law they will keep Morton until after june 1st and go into the draft without a veteran CB.

seems like the roster pretty close to set now

No, you were right the first time around.

Surtain is "in the fold" IMO, and they're just playing chicken on the draft picks...

Thomas Barnett is close enough to Tom Barndt, let's throw him in the rotation.

Thomas Barnett played at K-State, was camp fodder. We sent him to NFL Europe last year. Started did okay. Was camp fodder again. And again it looks the same for him.
