They're forecasting 10 to 20 inches of snow here in Denver over the next two days. I may have to kill my ox for food.

830AM and it's a complete white-out!

Geezit...I let my dawg out at 3AM and it wasn't snowing then, but I wake up now and there must be at the very least- half a foot of snow already.

Forcasting snow in denver is about as tough as forcasting a sunny day in San Diego..

I just returned from walking my dog in this stuff. Actually for me, it was a hike. My dog was in absolute ecstasy of this snow hopping in and out of the snow drifts.

9" already, and it's not supposed to end until 6PM tonight...

Wonderful.

They're saying the hardest area hit will be Monument and it won't stop until 6AM tomorrow here.

Looks like I'll be playing a lot of Lumines today.

How can you live somewhere that has snow in April? I would have to move. We have shorts on and the windows open and maybe going to the lake today. Snow in april? I could never live with that.

Because March and April are the snowiest months in Colorado, and it's actually pretty sunny there through the winter.

So they have snow thru April....when does it start? Oct, Nov, I can't even imagine having to shovel snow and wear coats for 5-6 months of the year.

Have I mentioned how nice this sunny and 78 degrees feels today? :D

Time to break out the BBQ grill! :thumb:

Oh and uhh, Rain Man, I like you and all but today, well, ... it sucks to be you, pal.

I'm 220 miles NE of Denver here in Scottsbluff, Ne they were forcasting 3-5" of snow but it's still too warm. So it's just raining out. The same thing happens here too in March and April. It could snow a foot one day and the next it would be 80 degrees. It's just the way it is this time of year. Love the winters though. It's like a long fall with temps mostly in the 40's and 50's. :thumb:

Woo. We've got about a foot already, with winds of 25 to 40 miles per hour. The airport is closed, all of the Interstates are closed, and it's supposed to keep snowing for another day.

I actually kind of like big snowstorms. It's very peaceful, other than perhaps the howling wind.

Trees are going down.

There's just too much wet snow which is adding tremedous weight and strain on the trees. Power outages are already happening around town and could get worse by the end of the day.

Being cooped up in the house has made Cosmic quite the baker: I've already made a batch of homemade dog bisquits, a batch of brownies, a batch of spaghetti sauce cooking in the crockpot, a bowl of salad made and I'm opening a bottle of wine. Let it snow!

I'm sure glad that I had the foresight to seek shelter. If I was just living out on the plains, I'd be really cold and wet right now.

Here too, It's beautiful here! I had my lawn mowed and was sitting on my deck enjoying the nice green grass drinking lemonade by 11am this morning. This April has been incredibly warm for us in eastern Iowa so far :)

Just kinda spitting out here at the moment. It's 42 out so it's too warm for snow. Though there is snow on the bluffs. But if you look at the radar it looks like were in the middle of a big shower. :hmmm:

Don't worry. The storm should be in your area by tomorrow or the day after. :thumb: :)

I'm sitting here watching the Masters in Augusta. It's all green. Big, beautiful luscious green.

Look out my window though and it's white. Everything is white.

Make sure you bring your brother Batman and your sister EAT SH!T, otherwise you'll kill a 440 pound oxen for food, but only be able to carry 100 lbs back to the wagon...

Rep to anyone who guesses the reference...

Here's a live view of Interstate 25 at Monument Hill. Monument Hill is the highest point on the highway between Denver and Colorado Springs (maybe 7,500 feet), and tends to get more snow.

Looks like a slow day on the highway. I think they closed it.

Pretty slow at the Eisenhower Tunnel, too. I think it's closed as well.

The Tunnel is at something like 11,000 feet. My first year in Denver, they had to close it down on July 4th due to a snowstorm.

Lucky you to have snow instead of T-Storms and Tornadoes Rain Man. We're getting several of that in Kansas right now.

Yeah, I drove into the Springs today, and all the signs said I-25 was closed from Bijou St (middle of the Spings) to Green Lake (a little North of Monument Hill). Was able to take the highway into the Springs, but had to take backroads to get home as all the onramps were blocked.

They announced that all the schools here in Monument would be closed tomorrow a couple of hours ago. Guess I'm working from home tomorrow. Latest I heard was it would continue snowing here until 6AM.

It's snowing all over again.

This storm was over at 6PM as earlier projected, but it circled back, and now they are projecting it won't be over until 6AM. Ahhhhh, don't you just love Colorado.

I hear you there!

I love a beautiful white blizzard like this once a year. Just as much as I used to love sitting out on a Spring/Early Summer dusk and watch the midwestern thunderstorms in KC roll in one after another. I wasn't happy unless the house would shake with each thunder and it would put the fear of gawd into you.
