I'll be up for my semi-monthly weekend with my kids (16 and 10); and am at a loss for something fun and different. I was thinking about the Deanna Rose Nature park or something similar since the weather's 'sposed to be nice, but perhaps a new perspective/idea from my fellow Planeteers would be nice. Ideas?

P.S. Inexpensive=GOOD. It's a week till payday.

I thought about that, but the 16 yr old IS a pretty hippyish girl. She might just dig it. Mini-golf sounds cool too, though.

Anyone been to Swope Park lately? The zoo may be fun. How much is admission these days?

Not exactly Johnson County, there...........

We went a couple of years back with the daughter. It seemed then like they were in the middle of trying to update the place. Haven't heard much lately about it, though.

My little league baseball team is playing in a tournament at the Field of Dreams complex in Basehor, Ks.(out by the race track). Kids game being played on the dirt and grass for fun. Might be something different for them.

You can always go bowling @ Incredabowl on 151st and Antioch at night, if you like bowling, there is also miniature golf and laser tag there... (you can go during the day too...) There is a sports restaurant as well where you can eat...

There is also laser tag in Olathe at 135th and 1-35...

You have the petting zoo and park on 135th and Switzer....

Not sure if there's anything else to do????
