on the pokertable I start the day with 150 bucks. I can't catch a card and am quicky down to 70 bucks just dizzy with how fast I lost it. over the next several hours I crawl my way back up to 255 bucks and went right back down to 100... crawled my way up to 200, 300... 500... 900 bucks! back down to 300... and now I'm quitting at 450.

I've been to the highest of highs and lowest of lows, if I was an old fat man my heart would have jumped out my chest and beat me across the head with a bat. Fun stuff.

heh I just couldn't put it down, I'm at 600 now /cheer

I'm addicted. At least I'm not gambling any of my own money, this is all created from a 5 dollar promotion.

I play for real money at Bugsy's Club. For fake money at PokerPages. It's the same software for both...

Sounds like you're really playing well, or there are a lot of fish where you play. GL to you...

I think it's a bit of both. for a 12 hour session I've made very few mistakes excluding when I went on tilt and lost 550 bucks in 1 hour and 10 minutes.

I definately wouldn't be making this money if I weren't up against a lot of fish, but there are a few decent players too... I've been around long enough now to be able to figure them out. Its not the best site in the world, but the competition isn't as hard as it is at other sites... I'd highly recomend checking it out if you play a lot. I could hook you up with a list of the players you can consider good, and a list of the fish too.

Thanks. I might take you up on that in a few weeks. For now, I've got to get away from online poker. I took $150.00 and doubled it over the course of about a week. Then I took it all into one ring game. I got sucked out when I had pocket aces, and flopped a third ace. I ended up losing all my money to a guy who caught a queen of spades for a queen high flush on the river. It was frustrating, because I had to play rock solid poker to get that money in the first place.

hey Mcan, what kind of limits do you generally play?

I've been at a 5/10 structured table most of the night. its the first time I've played anything close to this high and its working out well obviously.

oh man, that's why I don't play no limit anymore... I've only been playing about 8 months, and the first 5 months it was always no limit... was always searching after the big hit, when I double up a huge stack. but like you said, you play solid poker for months or days building your bank roll to get busted on one or two major bad beats in a row. That's why I moved to structured and am staying here, you get a few more bad beats because you can't protect your hands as much... but at least the bad beats aren't so bad you can't afford rent :D

the worst was the first time I sat down at a casino in real life, it was at Niagara Falls a couple of weeks ago. On Friday night I turn 100 bucks into 360 bucks but I'm on guard drill there for four days so I'm bored as hell, I decide to take 100 bucks again if I lose it I lose it... I go home.

But, I had to wait about an hour and a half for a table so I'm watching the table I'm signed up for. There is this major fish that loses about 600 bucks and just keeps buying more and more chips, then he goes on a really really lucky streak and has about 800 bucks in chips and has just put the entire table on tilt. I view this as a golden opportunity to make some major cash because I know I can bust this clown. so I decide to sit at this no limit table with my full bankroll.

Its working I'm having a great night I'm up to around 700 bucks and I have this fish grumpier than can be. He gets up and leaves, that should have been my queu(sp?) to call it a night and be very happy, but I decide to stay around for another 30 minutes.

about three hands later I have pocket kings and flop a flush, kings over aces. it gets rocked by pocket aces to make four aces. I lose about 300 bucks in one hand, no big deal I'm still up 40 bucks. The next hand I get a two card king high flush... on the river comes a fourth diamond to complete this jack asses ace high flush, in about 3 minutes I go from 700 bucks to zero, de nada.... I was dizzy, absolutely dizzy... I had to wait about 3 minutes before I could stand up and walk away.... no more no limit for me.
