You will have alot of choices, but who do you think will be the guy drafted by the Chiefs.

Poll forth coming.

The poll isn't up yet but I'm going with whoever is the biggest tweener project.

If we are going by the combine warrior, "tons of potential", raw and unrefined guy then I would have to say Demarcus Ware. He could be the next Gary Stills!

Is that dude too slow to be a safety and too small too be a linebacker? Maybe we could make him a corner...

Mods edit and put in DE/OLB DeMarcus Ware

Ok, I see the option for "The Best Player Available", but what about the one for "Some Dude You've Never Heard Of"?

I went with "The Best Player Available". That will be Carl's way of weaseling out of the fact that he picked someone at a position we didn't need or a guy that won't be able to start for years if ever.

imho, Johnson and Rogers will be gone.....if so, my great hope is that we take Pollack...that guy will make plays for us immediately

I seriously think that if Both Rogers and Johnson are off the board when the chiefs pick that they will trade down and pick up more picks and draft Daryl Blackstock.

Tweener DeMarcus Ware is also another possibility.

I agreed with about a third of the planet, don't know if theat is good or bad. I also think we will trade down if there isn't Johnson or Rolle around. Possibility of us drafting Rogers, that would be OK with me, but unfortunately the CHIEFS are left looking for a starting corner, and need one to start next year, and that leaves nearly all the rookies out IMHO. GO CHIEFS

Why is Brodney Pool on here, but Davis isn't? Anyways, I voted Pollack. That is not to say that I really have any idea who they will pick.

I just forgot to put Davis on there as i did DeMarcus Ware

I predicted the Oklahoma WR. Why? Because if you plan for the worst, everything else is a pleasant surprise.

Thomas Davis at #15

Cook was sure really high on him on 710 last night!!!

For me it will be a shame for us drafting him after we just signed a S. From what Cook said and what I have read this guy has a chance to be special.

But, it all depends upon whether we have get Surtain or not.

Demarcus Ware. He's the strongest (430 lb bench press) pass rusher in the draft and also has a Dwight Freeney first step. Played a lot of games against some big schools and was productive enough to be considered for the top DE in the country award. Because of his strength, explosive quickness, attitude, and experience, he should be a day one starter at LDE for the Chiefs and produce double digit sacks.

My guess? Rogers, Ware, or Davis.

My hope? Rolle, Johnson, or Merriman.

While I understand everyones displeasure at drafting "another" safety, I have no problem with going with Davis as a safety instead of LB. Our secondary was horrid last year. Warfield is the only starter that should be partially guaranteed a starting spot this season. Wesley, Woods, and Bartee/McCleon all played their way out of the lineup IMO.

Surtain/Law, Warfield, Knight, and Davis would be just fine with me.

Let's see, you put 3 or 4 guys on there that could be drafted in the 2nd round and didn't put 3 or 4 guys on there that we could draft at #15.

But he is a tweener and he's raw.

I think we trade down and land Marlin Jackson and Daryl Blackstock. We then announce we have shipped this year's fourth rounder to Miami for Surtain. Also, a conditional pick in next year's draft.

I would really love it if we did that. Be able to get our CBOTF in Jackson and have Surtain or Law, and get a good pass rushing Linebacker in Daryl Blackstock.
