A take off on Rain Man's mythical creature thread. I'm assuming this has been done before, but I sure don't remember seeing it.

If you could have ONE SuperPower, what would it be? Poll heading your way...

But a small petrified penis?

I'd rather be invisible. Oh, and the clothes I have on can be invisible, too.

I'd go with invisibility if I had the power to turn it on and off... I read The Invisible Man and I think if you couldn't turn it off it would be a pain and kind of depressing.

kinda ... but i would be a little more broad in my power definition

Time Control

includes slowing, stopping, reversing and speeding up of time, along with time travel. also allows for phase time travel... where you can go back in time and actually get younger while doing it. :thumb: :D

I **knew** someone would come up with one I missed. I'm unsure about that one, though. It's not really a standard super power at all.

Usually it takes a gadgeteer to move through time, by having him build a time machine, no?

Assume complete ability to control your power. This is an *advantage*, not a penalty.

Yeah, I had to go with Mind Control, which I see is the early favorite.

Basically, you can do just about anything with this, moral or immoral. That opens up ALOT of possibilities.

the 3 things you wish for if you find a genie

Shapeshifting - can be anything ... why ask for superfast when you can shapeshift into something superfast ... why as for flying when you can shapeshift into air itself.

Time control - correct any mistake you make ... money is no problem, just go back in time and buy all the good stocks or get the winning lottery numbers. stay young for a long as you like by phase-time travel ... letting your body get younger as you go.

Mind Control - pretty much self explanatory ... it gets you anything that the previous 2 powers can't.

these 3 powers can basically get you anything you want if used with a little imagination. if not you need to use one of you wishes for brain power, cause your stupid

Assume (unlike Vi in The Incredibles) that whatever is on you goes invisible too. I believe this is the "standard" way this superpower works. That allows you to go invisible whenever it's convenient, even if you're clothed.

It's not like it's THAT big a deal. That "super" power can be found right here: http://www.southwest.com

As for time travel, that "super" power is easy to achieve as well. Go to the bar, drink a fifth of whiskey, next thing you know it'll be Sunday. It's like magic.

Other:

The ability to consciously control (and intuitively understand) all organic matter.

Make plants do your will. Know which herbs and stuff will cure certain deseases because you also intuitively know exactly what is wrong and why when scientists don't have a clue. Speed up/regulate your own body hormones and metabolism to give yourself extraordinary abilities. The possibilities are endless. Mind contol (if it's possible through evolutionary means) would be included. You'ld just have to MAKE it happen... Fun stuff...

You realize that this superpower comes with some drawbacks? Specifically, a dorky, boring husband and a meddling, bitchy mother. Just sayin'...

Nah. This comes with the associated weaknesses of "totally dysfunctional economy" and "winters too F'ing cold".

Go with the US. Better climate, economy and hotter chicks. On the other hand, you can't shoot reporters who annoy you by saying bad things about you, so that's a drawback I guess.
