Did anyone watch 38 the Spot last night with Nick Athon from Warpaint Illustrated? I know some here don't trust Athon. I don't know who he is. But, last night on 38 the Spot, he said that KC had already signed Kevin Johnson, but wouldn't make an announcement until the day of the draft. Do you believe that? Have you heard that? If so, where did you hear it? Link? Also, is that a good or bad signing? What do you think of KJ? would he be a good addition to our offense? What's your prediction of his 2005 production in KC?

Discuss..........

Limit the blowback from drafting Jordan Beck with #15.

Nick Athon from Warpaint Illustrated has the same amount of inside information as most of us on the Planet does. Untill either the national media or KC Star puts it out, then most of us dont consider it offical.

Where ever there are completely bullshit rumors being spread you will find him.

Where ever obscenely incorrect punctuation and grammar are you used, he will be there.

Where ever logic and reality are thrown to the wayside. When a man shouts, "Why can't we trade for Surtain, sign Derrick Johnson, and announce the signing of Kevin Johnson on draft day?!" He is there!

This could go on for a while...

Whenever The Bad Guy is livid with rage...

if Athan had said that all the midget retards over at warpaint would have flipped out and posted about it...but they didn't, so the real question is: were you on acid and watching the teletubbies? I could see how you might think they were channeling draft info from Nick Athan....

I wish this guy would just go away.

I can't believe that people actually buy teh crap he throws out.

In any event, I think the title of this thread should be changed.

Because running a scout.com affiliate just means you signed up to be a scout.com affiliate?

He just publishes a magazine, which I get, that has information and stories in it that are good for the non-educated Chiefs fans out there. The stories are pretty far out there in la-la land most of the time.

Carl's waiting so when we screw the draft up he can pull out the patented "Well Kevin Johnson is really our first round pick."

That's so close to being true that its sad.

Except, you need to replace the "Well" with "Quite Candidly".

So are you saying that if a Chief fan isn't educated, he/she deserves be out there in la-la land?

Just to recap, according to Nick "Scoop" Athan, the Chiefs are going to:

A) - trade for Surtain AND
B) Trade up in the draft to get DJ via a "blockbuster" deal
C) Sign Kevin Johnson

Anyone else smell b#llsh!t around here?
