Jason doesn't frequent establishments unless they are a pitch-till-you-win joint.

#32 MASA is a new sushi place. I think lunch is $300 flat fee a person plus drinks and tip.

Ruby Tuesday Shawnee, KS
I think our Ruby Tuesday went out of business. I'm not sure..but it was never very crowded. Thats pretty sad when you can't draw a crowd on the busiest street of Topeka, KS with a shitty restaurant. The rest do well.

Yeah. Topeka can't do shit for homegrown restaurants. All chain/franchise theme-o-matics.

Pretty much. We do have quite a few good non-chain places, but they don't do as well as the Applebee's and Chili's. I'm not saying those places are all that bad, but they aren't worth the 2 hour wait it takes to get in to them.

I used to eat Chinese food off the bare belly of an old girlfriend while we were in bed. That was a pretty damn good place to eat.

I recently was in NYC and was asking the door man where was a good place to eat....he pointed me accross the street to Virgil's BBQ http://www.virgilsbbq.com/home.htm....I was like dude I am from KC I really don't want to eat BBQ in NYC. I went there and it was freggin great. I don't know about the ribs but the chicken wings were the best I have EVER had. The Train Wreck fries were nasty(good). The fries were like a huge pile with cheese, ranch dressing, bacon bits, and I left off the jalapenos. I was very very impressed. I actually looked up on the wall and they had a Lenexa BBQ sign on the wall. Was pretty cool to see that sign in NYC.

I recomend trying it out if you are there.

Its the people, trust me. You can get right in to Blind Tiger and get a decent meal on a friday night. You can get right in to get great Chinese, Indian, or Thai food, as well...but I have seen lines formed outside the Golden Corral, and Spangles. Spangles is a fast food joint.

My old boss frequents (or at least used to frequent) Charlie Trotters in Chicago. I once asked him if he thought I'd like it, and he said no. Apparently the food is amazing, but outrageously expensive and served in really small portions (artfully presented, of course, like I give a shit).

I have no desire to drop $300 on dinner only to be hungry an hour later. I can't imagine I would even if I could afford to drop $300 on dinner.

Would you spend 300 bucks on a hooker only to be horny an hour later?
