What do you expect. Pena brought in a guy with a 10 ERA followed by a guy with an 8 ERA. We are lucky we did not give up more. Sisco came in and looked bad for the first time in awhile. Of course I refuse to bash him since he is the only reliever that can get anyone out.

All right! Let's hear it for our second consecutive sweep of the season.

Atleast we have a new closer, that will get 10 save opp. the whole season.

No offense and no relief, go royals!!!!!!!!

This team is so bad, they are not even worth talking about anymore. They are a waste of my binary 1's and 0's

And yet you still replied to the Royals thread...

I hate to say this, but it's time for Tony to go & Frank White to come up here.

You can't do shit when you don't have talent, and we lack it majorly on offense and the pen! SP will probably be the only thing holding us up in games.

Anyway, I don't know what might have been said on the radio, but I was totally puzzled by the way the pitchers were used. And Cisco has been getting some people out, but it doesn't matter much if he always lets inherited runners score.

Yea, this will be Pena's 3rd full year right?? Has anyone heard anything about his job being safe through the whole year or is he on the Hot seat? I realize there is a lack of talent but losing 100 games back to back is worse than Tony Muser and Bob Boone.

i think the "GREAT" Joe Torre would lose 100 with this group.

I have seen little league ball players execute fundamentals better than this team. Including the Head Coach.

Hell, he might do it with his 200 million dollar group, too. :D

I suggest rooting for my Rangers. They took 2 of 3 from the Spankees and are on pace for 81-81 (as if that meant anything).

Anyway they are a club of nice guys you like to root for. Like the Royals, except they can pitch and hit.

I'm trying to stay positive, but with the horrible bullpen work, lack of hitting, failure to execute fundamentals and defensive lapses at critical times, it's truly difficult.

It's scary that the first thought I had when I read the thread title was,
"At least 119 losses isn't record-breaking."

It's rough... we just have a fence, no O. I just don't know where the offense is going to come from. I'm worried it's going to make our starters start pressing and making more mistakes. I'm not happy with some of the fundamental mistakes we're seeing either. Went through an entire highlight the other night and it seemed like every highlight on defense had us doing something wrong, whoever the analyst on ESPN was even joked that it didn't look like we could catch anything. I don't know, I'd think Pena's head is starting to inch toward the chopping block. Who knows.

At this rate, I think Pena won't make it until the all-star break. I could take the lack of O if they would just play sound fundamentally.

With this type of team, you have to get the runner home from third with less than two outs every single time. They don't do that.

With this type of team, you have to make every out count - advance a runner to scoring position late in the game. They don't do that.

They don't do a lot of things that could make this youth movement much more bearable. Just have to stick with them until things get better, I guess.
