View Full Version : Ron Dayne...isnt it good that we didnt mortgage the house to get him???

Personally, Im glad that we didnt draft him based on what Ive seen so far of Ron Dayne. The boy could plow over people but couldnt catch a pass. He looks very sluggish. Or is that because Im comparing him to Tiki? Tiki is a stud this year. Reminds me of a small Marshall or Warrick Dunn. I believe that the CHIEFS need to draft a back with more quickness than bulk to compete in today's NFL. Your thoughts or opinions????

I never liked Ron Dayne and I still don't like Ron Dayne. We need a running back with moves. If we wanted Ron Dayne I would have sent Donnell Bennett to a buffett every day of the week for his offseason training...

I'd sure like to know just how many Chiefs fans really wanted FatBoy Dayne to begin with. I literally jumped for joy when the GMen picked him, not giving CP the chance.
TRich is 10x the RB Dayne could ever be, but will he get a real opportunity in SitCom land.
[b]FINALLY they gave TRich the Ball!!! And whadaya know!

If that is what you want then James Jackson from Miami is your guy...He is a slightly more powerful version of Charlie Garner IMO...We have a decent shot of getting him in the 2nd round if he doesn't blow away the stop watches at the combine...Which he could do.

Dayne = Curtis Enis Jr.

I think it's amazing that Dayne was high on Carl's draft list, but Shaun Alexander wasn't even on it.
Can't find a silver lining in that cloud.

I don't think I would put Dayne in the same category with Hurtis Penis just yet...

LOL @ 'Hurtis Penis'.

I feel sorry for the next legitimate Penn St RB...He could be Bo Jackson and he will fall into the 2nd or 3rd round after Vagina Carter, Hurtis Penis and Blair Thomas...Those three will leave a sour taste in the mouth of the NFL for a long time.
I don't ROFLMAO very often...but this did it...very funny...

Glad to put a smile on a Chief fans face after another non-playoff year...That is not easy to do...

Do you guys remember the people who were willing to trade Sly and Wesley for Dayne? I guess Carl made the best decision on that one, huh?

Anyone who can quote 'Lonesome Dove' must be pretty cool, even for a Hawkeye fan.

I'll admit I thought Dayne would be a good back. I even hoped he'd be in a Chiefs uni. Wow, am I a moron or what?!?! Dayne DOES look like a certain soon to be released short yardage back the Chiefs have on their roster.
Give me Tiki Barber any day of the week. The Chiefs need a back who's a pass catching threat to go with this new passing O.
Tiki, where for art thou?!?! Is he a free agent after this year?

Yes, he is red, but much to rich for our blood. Can you imagine the Thunder-n-Lightnin of TRich and Tiki?
