Don't know if this was already posted. . . looked back three pages and didn't see it. If it was, I'll delete thread.

---------------------------------------------

I don't have the article right in front of me, but I found some interesting things in the SB40 odds.

NE 6:1
Phila 6:1
Couple of teams 8:1
Pittsburgh, Atlanta, Indianapolis, K.C. 12:1
San Diego 22:1
Denver 30:1
Oakland 40:1

Other teams here and there

San Francisco 1,000,000:1

Take it for what it's worth, but I found it odd to see this oddsmaker pick us above everyone else in the AFCW.

I found it odd to see this oddsmaker pick us above everyone else in the AFCW.I don't. All four teams have tough schedules. San Diego added nothing to their roster and recent NFL trends would point to them having a poor season (like us last year). Oakland's 9-23 the last two years, their defense was 25th and 31st in points allowed those seasons, so what do they do? They trade away two defensive first round picks from 2002 to get Randy Moss. Denver? Have they done anything that would make them look like anything more than a .500 team in '05? We were essentially the only team in the division that addressed any of our needs with anything close to top-level talent.

SD added two defensive playmakers in the draft and they got a beast WR/TE in the 2nd round...who is going to make defending them in the redzone impossible.

I think Denver and Oakland are mediocre at best...but we will be in a dogfight with SD for the division barring a relapse by Brees.

San Diego won't break .500.

I'd put a couple of bucks down on San Francisco at a million to one odds.

I wonder if they actually take action on those odds?

No s**t. If Vegas puts up San Fran at 1M:1 I'll be sending in $10 myself.
