Is it a bad thing to be ten games out with five days left in April?

VonneMarie

I'm liking this game tonight. Lima's pissed off and is gonna pitch his @ss off. :thumb:

Note to Lima, pretend the Twinkies are the reporters you tore a new asshole in today. :)

Yeah, too bad he has to face Johan Santana and we suck at home. Who wants to put the over/under of Royal hits tonight at 5?

One of Allard's steals last year, Justin Huber, has close to a 1.000 OPS and a ton of walks at AA.

Under. With an offense this anemic, Johan Santana is in a position to no-hit the Royals every time he faces them. It'll probably be around 3 hits, 1 run for the R's tonight.

What's the over and under on what inning we blow a lead?

Didn't we go through this Lima vs. Santana nightmare matchup last week? I'll bet the over for the number of hits because I'm just that kind of Royals fan.

Game over, Twins scored a run.

ROFL I think you have to get a lead to blow it.

If this ump remains consistent, I'll take his strike zone.

Lima's 7.78 ERA is headed higher.

SCTrojan
04-26-2005, 07:48 PM
Lima pitching pretty well so far with pretty good command.

Coach
04-26-2005, 07:53 PM
Nice hustle by Diaz to get there.

SCTrojan
04-26-2005, 07:59 PM
Not very good execution on that rundown.

Coach
04-26-2005, 08:00 PM
And the Royals leave a RISP. :shake:

SCTrojan
04-26-2005, 08:14 PM
Eli owning Santana at this point.

Coach
04-26-2005, 08:18 PM
And the Royals, again, leave RISP. Jesus H. Christ. :shake:

Coach
04-26-2005, 08:24 PM
Lima pitching one heck of a game. Just not getting any run support.

SCTrojan
04-26-2005, 08:25 PM
Would two runs against Santana be out of the question?

Coach
04-26-2005, 08:32 PM
And the Royals finally score a run on a Diaz bloop single. Bringing home Long from 2nd.

1-1, tied game.

Let's hope Jose has another good inning.

Coach

Let's hope Jose has another good inning.

And he does.

Mid 6th, still 1-1

SCTrojan
04-26-2005, 08:46 PM
One more run, and we can give it to the bullpen. Oh, wait a minute...

Coach
04-26-2005, 08:53 PM
A 1-2-3 Inning by Lima. Mid 7th, still 1-1.

SCTrojan
04-26-2005, 09:00 PM
At least they're bringing him back out for the eighth and not being obsessed by pitch count.

petegz28
04-26-2005, 09:10 PM
And Pena decides to pull Lima......I don't like it.

petegz28
04-26-2005, 09:10 PM
Although I do like Sisco

Coach
04-26-2005, 09:12 PM
Sisco owned Tori Hunter.

SCTrojan
04-26-2005, 09:13 PM
Let's get a run, boys.

SCTrojan
04-26-2005, 09:15 PM
Can't be first-pitch hitting against Santana this late in the game, IMO. Have to get into deep counts.

Coach
04-26-2005, 09:18 PM
IBB'ing Sweeney here.

Pussies.

SCTrojan
04-26-2005, 09:28 PM
Cheap hit for LeCroy.

petegz28
04-26-2005, 09:29 PM
K we pulled Sisco WHY????

petegz28
04-26-2005, 09:31 PM
Pulling Sisco is making Pena looking like such a ****ing ASS!

Coach
04-26-2005, 09:33 PM
I have no idea. He's Tony Pena I guess.

petegz28
04-26-2005, 09:34 PM
Blown double play....I love how we always choke.

petegz28
04-26-2005, 09:36 PM

Rest easy. At least the Yankees won't steal who ever it is that's playing third.

petegz28
04-26-2005, 09:39 PM
Wow we pulled Sisco so Burgos could walk 2 guys and give up 2 hits. Never mind that Sisco was kicking ass!

petegz28
04-26-2005, 09:41 PM
Now the Royals will show you the classic 1-2-3 inning in the bottom of the 9th.

2-1 twins to the bott of the 9th.....

SCTrojan
04-26-2005, 09:43 PM
I never understand Tony. Sometimes he goes with percentages, sometimes he goes with hunches and feel. Nearly without fail, he's wrong.

I don't get why Sisco came out, if Burgos is the closer he needs to come in during a closing situation....

I'm not real pleased with Tony right now, but there is some truth to that. I just don't understand it. There have been times the last two years where he's left guys in and they run out of gas, other times he'll make a pitching change and the new pitcher will get lit up. It's like we can't win.

petegz28
04-26-2005, 09:46 PM
Glad to see us so listless in the bottom of the 9th. This team STINKS!

I don't think Pena will last past this season, his moves are weird at times, we need a real, proven manager, Showalter would;ve brought in credibility a few years back. I like Pena as a person but man he is weird at times as a manager.

SCTrojan
04-26-2005, 09:48 PM

Today was one of Tony's percentage days. Sisco pitched to Hunter - lefty/lefty matchup. He brought in Burgos to pitch to LeCroy, righty/righty.

SCTrojan
04-26-2005, 09:54 PM
I'll be there tomorrow. Hope always springs eternal. Tough to be a Royals fan these days. At this point, I'm just hoping that we aren't record-breaking bad.

04-26-2005, 10:01 PM
We've lost 6 in a row, and 5 of those by ONE freaking run. Pretty frustrating. We can't buy a break right now.

If you are going tomorrow, I suggest that you blast at these guys for sucking so bad. They can't take a f**king pitch, or even work the f**king count.

And I suggest that you blast at Tony to quit playing the f**king percentages becuase Sisco was pitching a nice game, and he decides to pull him out for some f**king AA kid who didn't have much control. Jesus Christ, even a blind f**king monkey can manage this team better than Pena. :shake:
