minicamp on friday.

Coming in tomorrow.......not all the veterans were going to be there. He's kind of glad about that, so it isn't so overwelming. Has to come back to school until his class graduates. then he's moving to KC ASAP. His aunt lives in Oak Grove. He might stay with them to keep his feet on the ground and stay focused....."I'm a rookie, I've got alot to learn, I've got to stay focused.....I gotta go to work".

Heh, I thought exactly the same thing. Curt Schilling talks to fans on Red Sox boards (mostly offseason, though, I think). It would be neat to have Boomer drop in every now and then. He's sounds so unpretentious, it wouldn't surprise me at all.

If his play is half as appealing to the fan base as his interviews.....We'll soon be forgetting benny thompson.

I'm hoping he makes Dino Hackett look like a poosay, but he's got some things to show on the field.

An interview doesn't read the run, hit like a train or cover in space.

Its nice to have found this year's training camp "RUDY" so early.

A company I used to work for several years back did work for Krispy Kreeme. They would say that Victor Riley would come in all the time and polish off a dozen glazed. They said that he would stack the donuts then smash them together and down them that way.

I don't think he is a "Rudy" or a Brian Shay even..

Did you see his combine scores?

He is one of the top rated LB'ers based on the combine, the guy has the physical skills to do it.

The only thing he doesn't have is a big school on his resume.

Looks like this guy has a real chance to make it ...

Need I remind everyone how they went nuts for Kawika Mitchell when he got here. The story about him going thru a windshield sent everyone to the brink. I prefer to let Boomer prove it on the field as Rocket Man has not.

I love the guy’s ‘tude. That “WOO” will be contagious and our ST could use some fire. I think he will be a fine addition to Special Teams.

I see this kid as the next Maz, only faster, bigger and badder.

This guy is a white, blue collar, trailer park, beer drinking redneck. That is why he is so likeable. I am not getting my hopes up like I did with a crazy Kawika and his attitude, or the mean Eddie Freeman with the "rage this defense needs", or the R-Kal that didn't even make the starting lineup on a decent d-line, etc....

He will replace Maz on Johnny Dare's weekly Chiefs interview, and that is about all that is solid. If he can fill Beisle's shoes on ST we would be extremely lucky. If he turns out to be a super star LBer, it will be a frickin miracle.

Yesterday, 610 was playing a clip of Boomer talking about being a ST contributor and he said something to the effect of, "All I have to do is run real fast and be real mean... I'm looking forward to running down on kickoffs and knocking somebody's block off."

by "rudy", I merely meant a "fan favorite"....A guy its EASY to root for. the Guy you WANT to make a big hit.

Like all the draft pics, I want every one of them to Play like Singletary at LB, Hasty at Corner, Atwater at Safety..........but there is just something about a guy with "personality and humility" that is easy to like.
