Now that we have some hope for a respectable 'D' to go with our offense, how long is this team gonna stay relatively intact? How many key (or semi-key) players are going to be FAs next year and will we have the cap room to sign them?

Also, if Roaf retires after next year, do you think the Chiefs will make a push for Orlando Pace?

I think it depends on what happens this season. If the stars aligned perfectly and we won the Super Bowl, I could see a handful of players retiring after the season (Shields, Roaf, TRich, Priest).

Assuming we don't win it all this year, I would say that the only player that will probably retire will be Shields. Roaf said he wanted to play 3 more years, so I don't see him going back on that unless he has an injury.

I think I saw some small cracks in Roaf's armour last year. If he stays on for 3 more years, I wouldn't be surprised if he at some point gets switched to the less demanding RT. Hence, the Orlando Pace question.

I don't think there is much of a chance we go after Orlando Pace. Didn't he just sign a brand new contract? If Shields and Roaf retired next year, we would probably have to look for a new LT, unless Brian Waters could take over.

I think we can draft a left tackle next year. There is suppose to be a good group of tackles available next year.

I hate to say it, but I think this is Will's last year. It will have been a great ride. See you in Canton.

Pace signed for only one year. Didn't he?

Green is not the youngest, nor the most mobile QB in the league. I wouldn't trust his health to a rookie, no matter how talented.

No, he signed a 7 year deal this year.
