Do you really want a kicker that has missed 19 field goals in the last two years?

10. 11 if you count Morten Andersen's playoff shank.

how many times did we not try 50+ yarders when we could have thrown Edinger out there, like the bears have?

Tynes has plenty of range for 50 yarders. Don't confuse him with Morten Andersen.

How many times has Edinger shanked a thirty yarder? Not saying Tynes is perfect, but he is better than Edinger

what if we got the bears to give us a late round pick just to take him. You know, so the vikings don't get him. Would you be in favor of it then?

I don't think that is even possible.

I'm okay with the Flying Dutchman, unless of course a Vanderjagt, Vinateri, or Akers became available.

A couple of thoughts here....I like Tynes and if you look passed those extra point shanks he actually kicked very well for us and he does have a strong leg....However there were a handful of times that we had 49, 50, 51 yard type opportunities and we punted and really honked me off...It was Vermeil being conservative but I remember saying "good lord, if we aren't going to let the kid kick from outside of 45 we might as well kept Morten...."
