View Full Version : Time to replace my Grbac Jersey...Priest, Tony G, or Hall?

I wanna buy a new jersey for my weekly Sunday football game and for my visit to Arrowhead this year and I don't know which one to get. My three choices available to me are Holmes, Gonzalez, and Hall. My first choice is The Priest but I don't know how much longer he'll be around so I want a jersey that won't be out of date in the next year or so (I'm assuming Preist will be gone after next year). How many more years do you think Gonzo will be around for? He's my second choice.

I'd go to the teamstore and personalize a Derrick Johnson authentic for 139.

Teamstore.com.

Either that, or get a Surtain jersey, which is what I did.

What you do is get a jersey belonging to a player who retired a Chief. DT/58 Delaney/37 are a couple ideas.

It's funny how Sims jersey is on clearance for $39.99...I thought that was their number 1 seller!!!

I like this option because I'm assured the player will always be associated with the Chiefs. I have a DT and an Otis Taylor.

Of the three you mentioned, I'd pick Tony G.

no shit. Seems to me, that that Grbitch jersey should have been thrown in a fire sometime late 2000.

Umm, I don't think you should get a new one. The fact that you have a Grbac jersey tells me you are not a Chiefs fan. Go cheer for the raiders or donkeys!

First off you have to perform the ridding ceremony on the Grbac jersey. Start a bonfire on a day with little or no breeze. You will need plenty of starter fluid to soak the jersey in. Once the jersey is burned, gather all ashes together and ground them into a fine powder. Then pour holy water over the ashes and despose of them in a metal container that must be buried at least 10 feet deep in a non inhabited area. The last step is optional but you can have a native american medicine man bless the site and then you can pray that the monstrosity never should return.

I have an 18 and an 11 rotting in my closet. We should have a CP-sponsored event in the future where we burn them or something.

Just because you can afford a new jersey every other day by selling crack to your relatives doesn't make me any less of a fan than you.

You've been wearing the Grbac jersey on Sundays for the past seasons and nobody has even whispered "hey, dude, you might want to freshen up your jersey"?

You need some new friends.

I've got a Green road jersey that is my normal sunday garb.

I'd like to have a red one, perhaps Surtain or Johnson, but I'd be nervous about doing it before the season. They have a habit of changing numbers and stuff it seems like, for example when Kris Wilson went from 40 to 84 after camp, and Mitchell was wearing some number in the 90s before they gave him 50.

I guess DJ's name will have to be written "D. Johnson", with L. Johnson still here. Remember that if you go with DJ

Surtain isn't switching from 23, that's the number he's worn his whole career.

They're all Eagle, Viking, and Steeler fans so could care less. It was hard to find any Chiefs merchandise before Priest came around (I didn't even have another choice...it was either Grbac or nothing).

I'll bet Jared Allen's going to be pissed when he finds out you stole his jersey. Really I think even if you get a jersey for someone like Priest who may only be here one or two more years, that would be fine. IMO Priest is the kind of guy whose jersey I'd be proud to wear years after his retirement. Same goes for players like Shields and Richardson.

Why would anyone who wanted to kill themselves jump from a mall ledge? There's always the risk of only breaking a leg or ending up paralized. I say pick a building so you can at least enjoy a few seconds of freefall.

I was just about to say essentially the same thing... I've been a Chiefs fan for quite a few years and wouldn't buy a jersey until I found one I really wanted... no Grbacs... no Priests, no Tony Gs or Trents... finally found a Will Shields and snapped that puppy up right away. That was one of the two I was looking for. Shields or Weigmann. Gotta get something not everybody in KC has.

I'd go with Tony...Any TE who leads the league in receptions with over 100 is not to be questioned.

I myself want a Fujita jersey, cause it's unique, and I think the guy is a solid player. Not a playmaker or a superstar, but then again not everyone can be.

Tony G. or Priest, and hope they retire Squaws...

Hall is just not going to be a good long term bet, these other two are quite the collective pain in my arse and I hate them both tremendously...that means they're pretty good football players. God they SUCK

I got a Fujita jersey at Dick's Sporting Goods in August last year, right before the preseason was over... got it for $20 because it was the previous season's model -- like they change that much, right?

I got a Fuji too. I think they've got the same thing running right now, I saw a Shields jersey for under $30 that I'm going to get. I do feel weird wearing a lineman jersey on my 185 lb frame though.
