I've never participated in a cookoff. I don't know how it works. I have some general idea, but I'm not an authority.

I'm seeking an experienced individual to help coordinate the 37 Forever Cookoff Oct 14th of this year. When I say "help coordinate", I mean operate and own the entire process. ;)

Post your resume and desire here.

That would be a good idea as you can't cook

Heh, I was thinking of challenging you to a rib-off and let these guys finally settle it.

But I decided rubbing your nose in it would make you cry.

I'm the older, smarter, distinguished one.

He's the John Belushi one.

It's a hazard I never really thought of until then. When your ribs are so dang good the eater wants to swallow them bone and all you have a potential problem. Now I check my liability insurance everytime I make them so I'm protected from people that can't control themselves.

You might be able to get some pointers from The Kansas City Barbeque Society (http://www.kcbs.us/).

There is a guy I work with that enters this stuff all the time. Its damn nice when he brings in test samples before the competition.

:( I also want to attend, and it hasn't been ruled out yet. But school will already have started and my sons high school football in full swing and the drive up and back for just a weekend sucks.:banghead:

I know it just seems like something every year. I will have a great time and probably make it to another game out there this year but it would have been fun to see more of you.

It was his grill. Even my cooking has limitations when the equipment is valued at $5.

I realize it was cold and rainy.........but the alternative cooking method you guys used, after the coals went out, just wasn't appetizing...I mean.....Jerking them like your gerkin might have warmed up the skins...

Thats the real reason I said I had the flu........I didn't think the Jergens that Pt put on his was really going to pass for Ranch..

We should try that whole tailgate thing again....I'm not afraid to Drink with the McKenzie Brothers, eh hoser.
