You're going to love the DLP projection. We got a Panasonic 50" recently and it gets a great picture, especially in HDTV.

Ya, finally

had another guy come in and check floor, he said it was screwed up.

so we had floor completely redone by other guy and withheld the cost of redo from final payment to original contractor.

he was not happy

Lemme know how it handles standard def tv. We have hi -def, and I know the pic would look great on that, but there are a few shows in standard def that we like to watch.

well ... pretty happy with it so far

the colors are just outstanding ... vibrate, full, sharp

we have cable and it handles standard def channel thru a cable coax really well. It doesn't handle stand def channel thru the cable box nearly as well :hmmm: so i think that is more a problem with the stinkin cable box though  .

it has some pretty cool features ... has a ratio button on the remote so that you can easily switch between 16:9,4:3,Horizon,Zoom1,Zoom2.

also has a PIP surf mode where you have a full 4:3 picture on the left with 3 pip boxes on the right that automatically scan through all the channels.

sound is pretty decent for regular television speakers ... a ton better than the panasonic we had.

also pretty small footprint considering it's DLP ... only 14" deep, 80lbs the front face only has about 1" border around the picture. So they made it pretty much as small as a 44" tv can be

the television does take awhile to turn on though ... you push the on button and it takes several seconds to "power up"

i'm pretty picky about things and it gets a :thumb: up so far.
