Don't even know if I have a point, it was just a funny though inspired by Boomer's uncle's thread in the main forum:
What is a player started posting on the Planet and ended up becoming a regular. Now imagine if that player wandered into DC and was a screaming liberal straight from DU. How do you think he'd get treated?
It's a funny scenario to envision.

The way I see it, it’s not necessarily the message but the way the messenger acts.
If he came here with an informed opinion and presented his arguments, and himself, well then he’d probably get along just fine.
If he came here spouting rhetoric and throwing derogatory terms at anyone daring to disagree, he’d get treated like an azzhole.
But that works for everybody.

I don't know. I don't think he'd get treated like an ass. I think people (at least the Chiefs fans) would feel really weird about arguing with a player. Of course, if the guy hung around long enough, people would get over the fact that he's a player and he'd probably become just like any other poster.

I can agree with that, he’d probably get treated better than someone that just came in out of the blue, but the new could have the possibility of wearing off quick depending on how he acted.

Here's one for you. What if someone who was a regular poster on the board had a son who was drafted by the Chiefs and struggled...do ya think people would take it easy on the kid out of respect for the dad, or would it be the most uncomfortable time on the board...
...it would be weird to put a human face on these players...

Mikail Ricks mom, Ethelyn, posted on here for a while. It was a mixed bag. Some people were respectful and sympathetic while others were brutally honest about his (perceived) shortcomings. Even those that were honest tended to not be as harsh as we see sometimes see (for example: "Someone run over Trent Green with a bus! Please." as Otter once posted about Trent).

There might be people associated with the organization here already.
But, I think if one were a lib, and came from the Amnorix school, there'd be no problems. If they were from the jettio or mememe school then there might be some greater animosity.
