nope, not spam. I just thought it was cool.

I tested my internet speed connection through our "speed test" site here at work...I am currently running at 6,910 Mps...that's pretty darn quick. Anybody wanna race?

It's like riding behind a combine on the Information Super Highway.

Yes I am...He said that because you said "Mps" and "Mbps" instead of kbps.

Yes, 6.9 mbit is pretty speedy. I've got around 1.2 mbit down right now, but the rumor is that we're going to approaching 22 mbit within a few months. VDSL is truly amazing.

I cannot imagine what 52 mb is going "look like" on my computer

Funny Zep, but I neglected to mention that I work for a Telecom company and we are running DS3's here, which make that a more than accurate calim on my part. :p

6.9Mbits is slow for a DS3, unless you've channelized it.

Probably nothing, most of the time...

Ahh jeez, what I MEANT was, that the report was realistic. My system does not run off of the DS3, just trying to make my point...being I am in the best location to get the speed. I've just been trying to pass the day away, and didn't feel like writing about being bled on, or coming down from my hot leg routine...bored to tears, but if ya have some ideas about attaching an image, I'd appreciate it, see geeks planet, latest post

Does Bob Dole care to help out with the image attaching bit?

Well jesus, if that's the case, I'm sitting here next to 16 OC192's (yes, that's 16 circuits at 9.6 GIGAbits each) but I can't freaking use them to access the Internet.

Maybe I am not reading between the lines clearly enough...or maybe I am not writing clearly enough...

the report is actual, but I am not using a DS# connection. They are here because we are a small business service provider.

What is your point exactly?

chagrin
05-27-2005, 02:54 PM
Actually, to clarify I am sharing the DS3 with about 400 other computers.

I don't really know muich about this stuff, I was in radio for 12 years, then the mortgage business, Telecom is not my thing. I just thought it was nifty running at that speed.

Acording to my little blinking computer connection icon I'm currently residing at a mind numbing pace of 50625 bps :banghead:
Living on an island without high speed access really SUCKS!! :harumph:
