This kid obviously has a Yngwie Malmsteen fan for a Dad.

This is far from the most tasteful thing I have heard but I'm sure by the time this kid is at the elderly age of 12 he will have some emtion to add to his incredible technical skill. I'm not jealous, just amazed.
This kid needs to hear some Fripp and Gilmour. Perhaps a little Nick Drake would help also.Amazing (home.comcast.net/~davidsole/8-year_old_virtuoso.wmv)

I was the exact same thing at 8 years old with a guitar, minus the ability to play, but besides that, the exact same, almost spooky same, :p

Wow.

One of the things that seems to be universal among these types of guitarists is big hands. It's the guitarist's equivalent of vocal range. Since this kid is 8, he's doing it some other way.

Simply amazing.

Wow, a Clapton of the future. He is pretty big for eight.

Amazing how predisposed some kids are to certain things. Some days I can't help but wonder if God recycles. Segovia? Oliva? Just crazy.

Nah, a kid that plays like that will never be Clapton - too much technique and not enough "feel".

Just watched it all the way through again.

I'm going to go start a bonfire with my guitars. I am not worthy.

I know what you mean.

The last time I cried at a movie was during Bonham's drum solo in "The Song Remains The Same."

I didn't get rid of all my stuff, and have managed to keep working anyway.

The bigger guy should have picked up a cow bell and gone to town.

This kid should start a band with the 4-year-old drummer. Ah, but would the egos get in the way of the music?

My solos are my trademark....Nigel Tufnel rules all.

I thought that was gochiefs' trademark.

Oh, wait, this is a discussion about music.

Never mind.

Speaking of which, does anyone else notice a resemblance between Guest-as-Tufnel and Martin Freeman?
