Injury update at linebacker
6/08/05 at 10:29 am; Kansas City.com

Vermeil said linebacker Mike Maslowski is running at full speed but has yet to be cleared to practice. Maslowski has missed a season and a half because of knee ailments. Vermeil said he also received a good report on injured linebacker Scott Fujita, who's been out because of a ankle injury. “The one I am most concerned about is (linebacker) Shawn Barber,” Vermeil said. “He could enter camp physically unable to perform.” Full Story: Kansas City.com (http://www.kansascity.com/mld/kansascity/sports/football/nfl/kansas_city_chiefs/11839273.htm)

I'll take any reason to get excited about Maz, but being able to run in a staight line doesn't do much.

I think Barber and Maz have been labled a bonus if they're there but certainly not counted on for the upcoming season.

I'm following Bell like a hawk. That guy could cause some serious damage if he stays healthy.

My location allowed me to follow the Steelers closelly for my whole life and Bell is as good as Greg Lloyd when he was in his prime.

He's an animal.

I was watching NFL Network and there was a clip of bell just leveling this RB that was going for the endzone. Bell just came out of nowhere and then next thing you know the rb was on his ass. Seeing stuff like that just gets me pumped for this season.

Bell is now officially integral to the D.

I don't know why...but, something inside me makes me say this, I have a feeling that I think he is going to be one of the greatest LB'ers in Chiefs history.
