Looks authentic to me. Numbers look stitched on.

Is it from E-bay? I'd ask the seller if the name and numbers are stitched or screen printed. If they are stitched, it's an authentic.

Also, which year was the 75th anniversary? I know for a time in the later half of the 90s, KC's uniform contract was with Puma, so wilson wouldn't have made authentics. Just not sure how the dates jive.

Numbers and letters are stiched on. 75th aniversary was in 96 or 97 if I remember correctly.

75th Anniversary year was 1994. I know Mitchell & Ness came out with a '94 white Montana jersey with the 75 patch. I like their jerseys better than the Wilsons.

Hard to say for sure. I'm thinking it could be a fake authentic. But if the name and numbers are stitched, I'm not sure it makes much difference.

For most of Derrick's career, it was impossible to buy a jersey with his name on it (unless it had after-market alterations) because DT wasn't a member of the NFLPA. It wasn't until his later years that he joined, and the NFL was allowed to put his name on a #58 chiefs jersey.

If it really was '94, then I'll almost guarantee it's a fake. I don't think Thomas had joined the NFLPA at that point.

If it doesn't say Scanlon on the back, who cares?

I thought Nike or Reebok had the contract for NFL jerseys...

Anybody know the story of why DT didn't join the NFLPA?

Not to hijack the thread, but I noticed your avie ArroweheadWolf. I'm listening to X & Y right now and have not stopped since I bought it on Friday. Instantly one of the greatest albums in my collection. I literally can't skip one song on it.

Un-used? You mean you never wore it in a game?

A truly authentic 1994 Chiefs Jersey would also have the 35th Anniversary of the Chiefs organization patch.

Dont have a pic of it, but both patches were on the jerseys that year.

Hey, watch it now....

I find all the Scanlon stuff as amusing as the next guy, but this is a Derrick Thomas jersey we're talking about here, one of the best linebackers to ever wear red and gold.

Scanlon couldnt lace DT's shoes on his best day and DT's worst.
