For the second time in three weeks, an arrest warrant has been issued for Giants receiver Plaxico Burress, this time for failing to appear in court to answer a reckless driving charge in his hometown of Virginia Beach, Va.
Burress, 27, was due in traffic court Wednesday to answer a ticket he received for improper passing at 12:30 a.m. on May 29. His agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said "I don't have any information on" why Burress did not appear.

The Giants had no comment either, a spokesman said.

A previous warrant had been issued for Burress on May 26 in Moon Township, Pa., when he failed to appear in court to answer a tax-evasion charge. His attorney later provided evidence that Burress actually did not owe any taxes and the warrant was rescinded.

Burress has been in trouble in Virginia Beach before - on May 11, 2002, when he was arrested and charged with public intoxication (the charge was eventually dropped). At the same time, his brother, Carlos, was arrested for assaulting a police officer.

Minor charge, but still not a good way to make an impression in NY.
