On another message board I frequent, I went through the Chief's schedule and, at one point, I said that KC, "after the bye week they'll destroy the Skins at home, annihilate Miami in Fla, lose at San Diego."

Some guy then said:
That's funny. The Chiefs winning in Florida. Good one.
However, I didn't think my prediction was that bold. Or was it?

He also suggested that "Things have to go nearly perfectly for the Chiefs to even start to dream about the playoffs."

I don't think things have to go "perfectly," but things will have to go well.

We have a bad track record in Florida, however if there's any team in Florida we SHOULD beat, at this point, it'd be the Dolphins.

And if the Chiefs season went perfectly, they'd be 16-0.

The Chiefs don't exactly kick ass when they play in Florida, historically. I think they'd win that game, though.

You visit other message boards? I admit that I've let myself go a little bit, but am I not good enough for you any more?

We have Fred Mitchell.

We won't lose that game.

We have Fred Mitchell.

That and Scanlon....that will be his breakout game; three sacks, a safety, and twenty-two tackles--5 for losses.

Because Rich Scanlon is Gopher, Fred Mitchell will henceforth be known as "The Mongoose".

I'd like to see our record in Florida over the Peterson era. On second hand, I probably wouldn't. I bet it's at least as bad as I've imagined.

Wait, someone isn't supposed to beat the least talented team in the league because a team has lost to OTHER teams in that state?....

Um...

I'd be more worried about a ****ing hurrican swallowing the stadium than a team with no RB, no QB, and some of it's most talented players leaving...for our team.

how the hell have the chiefs played more games against the jags then the bucs? the bucs have been i the league since like the 70s and the jags have been in the league for like 10 years

The Chiefs should utterly destroy the Dolphins.

KC waxed their ass a couple seasons back when they had Ricky Williams, and that great defensive unit intact. Green had one of his best games against that defense.

Now we have half of their secondary, they dont have Ricky Williams, and Gus Frerotte is likely to be the QB.

I dont really see how the Chiefs could find a way to lose that game aside from a complete and utter breakdown in all facets of the game.

If Priest Holmes and Larry Johnson get a good number of carries, the game is over.

It's a bit early for this IMO. Last year at this time, we would laugh our asses off if someone suggested that the Chiefs would be swept by the Chargers. If we've learned nothing from the last 5-8 seasons it's that you'll have one or two of the most unlikely teams taking the league by storm.

since the game isn't until late in October I think it gives the Chiefs a better chance. They have a definate home field advantage in Aug-Sept due to the weather. Just like the Broncos have the altitude. I would take the Chiefs this year.

Dolphins did beat the Patriots last year for one of their wins... they had a really good defense, just really bad offense...

It feels that much better knowing that 50% of their starting DB's are Chiefs...
