Probably... either Brian Waters or DJ.

I like defense or O-line. Yeah the other offensive players are great. But LB, D-line or O-line is what suits me.

The star players are just too popular. I've gotta be a little different...

Replica:
Greg "The Real Deal" Hill
Andre Rison
Derrick Thomas (before he was NFLPA, so I had to add the name)
Tony Gonzalez alternate color: Pewter

Authentic:
Donnie Edwards
Scott Fujita
Priest Holmes home
Preist Holmes away

Now that I've had an authentic, I'll never buy another replica. I just prefer the quality. My next purchase will be whichever linebacker performs the best this year, or maybe Jared Allen.

I got a Sims jersey a couple years ago. Yeah, I know. But maybe he will redeem himself this year. My son also has a Fujita. My ex-wife had a Lake Dawson that we found at a discount store a few years ago.
Two years ago at the sports bar here, it was Monday Night Football Chiefs at Raiders. I won a Jerry Rice jersey in a drawing. When I went up to get it, I pretended to blow my nose on it. The Chiefs fans in attendance thought it was funny, and the Raider fans kept offering to buy it.

If that bastard scores 20+ TD's and the Chiefs win the SB, you can lick the sweat off of Priest's balls as he struts into the HOF first ballot.

I agree not likely, but entirely possible.

Bullsh!t. If the Chiefs won the SB this year and the Priest scored 20+ TD's and gained 1500 total yards that would put him at 80 TD's and approx. 9,000 to 10,000 total yards in a 5 year span. That would give him over 100 TD's for his career. He has been putting up numbers other players can only dream about.

5 year totals in a KC uniform (barring injury/conservative estimate):

Rushing: 6,500

Receiving: 2,500

TD's: 75-85

If he did that and won a SB, he WOULD be a 1st ballot HOF.

Count Zarth
06-24-2005, 11:27 PM
Cannibal, you are homering out of control. The minimum for a HOF RB is like 12,000 yards and 100 TD.

Eh, maybe not 100 TDs, but Priest doesn't have the yards. End of story.

He doesn't have the yards... WITHOUT A SUPER BOWL victory.

But if he won a SB and scored over 100 TD's and ended up with over 12,000 combined yards... trust me, he would be a 1st ballot HOF'er.

The SB victory is unlikely, but the rest is within his grasp.

Count Zarth
06-24-2005, 11:47 PM
I think you need 12,000 rushing yards to guarantee a HOF spot. I don't see him getting that.

Cannibal

I think you need 12,000 rushing yards to guarantee a HOF spot. I don't see him getting that.

Theoretically, he'd be one of three RB's in 100 td club. He'd have over 12,000 combined yards and if he won a SB that would put him over the top IMO.

If he gets over 10,000 rushing and 100 td's before he retires, he's probably going whether he wins SB or not. It might not be 1st ballot, but he'll probably go.

NEXT Year, Baby--2500 yds, SB MVP... :)

even right now, he's at 10,200 combined....if he has a BIG year, he'd be considered. Realistically, he needs TWO good years to be a sure fire bet... :hmmm:

I think it would be incredibly difficult for Priest to get in. At this point his career can basically be boiled down to 3 spectacular seasons, 2001-03, and he's going to be 32. I don't think Terrell Davis should get in, either, and he had a longer string of good seasons (95-98) and 2 Superbowls.

TD also played with 3 other HOF players on offense (Rod Smith, Sharpe, Elway)
and at least one HOF defender (Atwater.)

Shields and Roaf should get in, but who on our squad would make it other than that? And those two are offensive lineman.

Plus, Holmes put up most of his numbers on really, really bad teams...

Im thinking of getting another in the 70's a good lineman number, say, 76 with no name...that way it will last longer than a couple of years. I'd like to keep wearing #43 and get Easy off the back, but I fear that's impossible.

What I decided several years ago was to no longer buy a jersey that everyone else has. Holmes, Green, Gonzo, et al...I'd rather stand out in the crowd. I had this epiphany when I went to the KC/Balt game in 2003 and everyone and I mean EVERYONE was wearing an Lewis jersey...booorrring.
