Food for thought.

I have always considered White trash and Rednecks more likely to be Democrats (because I'm Republican probably) But what are your thoughts?

What constitutes 'white trash' anyway? And don't say mobile home, either. My grandparents lived in 2 of them over a 40-year stretch. They were hardly trashy people. Neat freaks, actually. Of course, neither were in a park. They purchased their own lot...

Yes, it was like an extreme version of 50's sitcoms. They not only had separate beds, but separate trailers.

I'd agree but I think republicans who are defined that way are more apt to vote. I think their buttons are more easily pushed by politicians who play on their prejudices and their patriotism. Just an opinion based on a general but admittedly limited observation.

If your front porch collapses and kills more than 4 dogs....you might be a red-stater...

I'd have to say it depends on who pays the bills. If the redneck has a job, he's a republican, if Uncle Sam puts food on the rednecks table he's a dem.

I don't know if there really is a defining line. Both parties have that stereotype.

Hey Hawk Hunter, did you ever post at Big12.net?

What is really ignorant is some of these rednecks in my area feel the need to put a confederate flag on everything. 99% of them haven't been as far south as the Ohio river...

As opposed to having their buttons pushed by the likes of Oprah Winfrey to lay on the couch eating cheetos and drinking 2 liter bottles of RC cola on election day.

Works for me, least their uninformed vote isn't in the pool.

The very definition of white trash is the real question here. Is it related to income brackets? People make more money per hour on the coasts. No doubt about that. Those are blue states. Is there some trailor park requirement for white trash? Trailor park nation is in the heart of the midwest. Those are red states. Could it have something to do with blazing racism, or judgmental beliefs of certain sexual orientations? While that is definately everywhere, I have been all over and say that is rampant throughout the midwest and the south compared to the east or west coasts. Those are also 80-90% red states. Sounds to me like a pretty convincing argument that the majority of white trash america is republican. No, I am not a Democrat. I am a Republocrat, I am fully aware they're ALL crooked. Just my opinion.
