I'm pretty fimiliar to the names such as Len Dawson, Buddy Bell, Fred Arbanas, etc.

What I do not know is the one player named Sherrill Headrick. Anyone got any scoop about him? I just recall that my grandfather, who was talking about the passing of Stram, and the name came during a family get-together. I didn't get the chance to ask him who he was and all, but all I heard was that his nickname was "Psycho".

Some help would greatly appreciated.

I watched the Chiefs from the day they hit KC and I sure don't remember him playing much. He probably played special teams but obviously wasn't a starter. EJ Holub is a much better story. He was a LB until his knees gave out. But he was just too good a football player to let go. So they moved him to center. He played LB in SBI and center in SBIV.

Huh, thanks Skip and go bo. I just talked to my father, and he said that nickname came from the standard for playing hurt, after fracturing a vertebrae in his neck in a pre-game collision at Houston. Despite feeling pain in his neck, he played the entire game. He learned of the fracture five days later, but went on to play the following week.

Damn.

Psycho looks a little bit "off" in that picture. How apt.

He was before my time, so all I could've said about him is that he was a linebacker.
