Leaving for Las Vegas in 22 hours on a much needed vacation. This is only my third time out there.

One thing I really didn't get to do on the previous visits was get to some good clubs. Anyone have any reccomendations?

Looking for:

1. Singles atmosphere
2. Hot Women (ever notice how approchable they are in Vegas?)
3. Any other reccomendations

Morals are not an issue.

Pure at Caesars is the newest trendy club and is getting some very good reviews. There is also Tangerine at TI and Light at Bellagio.

You can also play "Spot the Hooker" in the casinos past midnight. It's not a very challenging game, but entertaining nonetheless.

I'm driving to Vegas (from Chicago, yes I'm nucking futs) in about a week and a half so time is starting to drag in anticipation of the trip.

Ghostbar at the Palms
Rain at the Palms
Rum Jungle at Mandaley Bay

I went to all of those places last New Years and had an awesome time! I really liked Rum Jungle and Studio 54...Rum Jungle you can beat the line by buying a VIP table and a couple of bottles, at least that is how I beat the line.

Ghostbar was sweet, at the top of the Palms...awesome! it's more of a lounge though. I went to Rain on actual New Years night for the New Years party and it was awesome until 12:30 when the power went out and they kicked everybody out and wouldn't give us back the $150 cover charge for that night (it's probably not that much on a regular night)

I'm jealous, I had an awesome time in Vegas

Try not to get any on ya. I'd take some handy wipes or moist towelettes.

Very crouded, but when I was there we had the V.I.P. area on the upper floor so the crouds were not a problem.

150$$ cover charge ?

Wow.

Buying champaigne to beat the line ? Hmm. Sounds like their way to hassle people just to get in.

I know that Paris Hilton and movie people are 'paid' money to visit those clubs to make them seem buzzy/popular.

Those Vegas clubs seem way too capitalistic and commercially for me. But it's the herd mentality.

I was thinking in more terms of :

The Palomino Club

Leopard Lounge

Glitter Gulch

Jaguars

Cheetah's

Just a few of my favorites .. :D

If morales are not an issue I suggest these!

Its not as bad as it seems. I paid $150 for a limo ride, cover charge and booze. Each bottle is $200, but when split between 20 guys, 10 bottles of top shelf booze isn't that expensive. You get your own area to hang out at, the bouncers bring what ever girls you see down on the dance floor back to you.

VIP is the way to go.

I'm not saying I've been here or anything but if no-holds barred is what you want and morals REALLY isn't an issue then the Red Rooster is your place.
It's coolif you bring a lady friend with you but there is plenty of fun to be had for a single guy too. Or so I hear.

Thanks for the help.

I'll be out there Thursday (tomorrow) till Wednsday so we'll have some time in between laying by the pool and gambling to check out the clubs. We're staying at Mandalay Bay, supposed to have a topless pool area.

It will probably be me and my two buddies sitting at that pool staring at some fat chick with boobs down to her ankles wading like a hippo. It is Vegas however so there may be some good scenery.

One more question: How about some good spots for dinner? Say good a surf & turf or just a good steak. Not a buffet style place.

20 more hours!

If you want a good Strip Club go to cheetahs Cheetahs.........these girls are no holds barred. I had two girls on my lap at all times, one girl nibbling on my neck with the other one giving me a little hand love.

Well, there are all kinds of hotspots here in Sin City. It kind of depends on what you arte exactly looking for..
For instance, if you want over priced and super overhyped with a lot of techno music try--Rain at the Palms, or even Ghostbar. Rum Jungle is also very overpriced and even the bus boys think they are better than you. But it is a good looking atmosphere.

Studio 54 is fun, but falling out of favor with the party crowds. In other words, it not as hip as it once used to be..

The newest hot spot is Mix at Mandalay Bays' new hotel called "The Hotel". I haven't been there, but I hear it's pretty cool.

Body English at the Hard Rock is also a new hotspot.

OPM at Caesars is real hot, especially if you like Hip hop. Ra at Luxor is also smokin' for the hip hop music lover. In fact, Ra has the best hip hop dj's in town.

As far as tittie bars goes..Jaguars is real hot and getting hotter due to the fact that the guys who own Scores in NYC are taking over. Spearamint Rhino is not a bad spot as well.

Now if you want some kick ass food, we've got that too. For realitively cheap you can get some good mexican food at the Pink Taco-hard rock Hotel. Joes Stone Crab at Caesars Forum Shops is excellent, pricey though. But it well worth it. I ran into Brian Cox (BDSSP and the NY Jets) there, so celebs hang there as well. Good Chinese food at PF Changs at the Alladin, and if you want a good burger have a cab take you to IN-N-Out Burger on Tropicana.

Now in general, there are hot chicks all over, so it doesn't matter where you go--but The Hard Rock is known for having the most eye candy in the city.

And last but not least, act like you area local when it comes to cabs. If you are staying at the Mandalay bay for instance and you want to get to Caesars, say something like, 'Caesars please, and take me the back way--down Frank Sinatra Blvd.." Frank Sinatra blvd is a local street and a fast track down the strip, so you aren't spending $$$$ onthe cab ride.

Hope this helps.

Very much so, thank you. I'm going to have to print this out for the other guys to read on the plane.

How about a good steak? Sit down, not buffet style, pricey isn't a problem as long as it's not $200 a place (not including drinks).

I've heard that the Steakhouse at Circus Circus is very good, surprisingly. We just got back from Vegas yesterday and although we weren't in the mood for steak, I would have tried it out if we were.

I've gotten tons of good advice on anything Vegas at this site:

http://www.lasvegastalk.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewforum&f=1

It's kind of a "Chiefsplanet" for Vegas junkies, so to speak.

Circus Circus does have a killer steakhouse, surprisingly. However, Joes Stone Crab had the most insanley good filet medallions and of course the stone crab was incredible. I imagine that the actually piece of steak is just as good. They told me that they get the highest grade of beef possible, and after tasting it, i would have to agree. Really, I highly recommend that place. Again, its pricey, but you are probably looking at $100 per person with a couple of drinks..and that's not bad. I went there with two other people who had the medallions and I had the salmon, we had stone crabs, and two side dishes, no alcohol and it came to $182...so there you have it.

well we were standing in line and one of the guys who worked there came up to everybody and said if they don't want to wait in line or want a VIP table then just come right up to the front. So we bought a bottle of Saphire ($250) and a bottle of Greygoose ($300)
There were only 5 of us and we got reasonably wasted off of that and had a great time! VIP is definately the way to go, your own table and you get catered to, when we wanted to go to the bathroom (huge line for that too) the bouncer guy walked us up to the front of the line (pissed some people off but I didn't care).

Another way to get to the front of the line is to slip the doorman about $20 per person. It may not get you VIP, but you will get in and you wont have to buy a $250 bottle of Grey Goose (that would cost you $40 in the store),. Basically that's how you get most things done here in town--slipping the right people the right dead prez.

ya, but the way I drink and my friends that I went with also, when drinks cost $10-$15 for each dixie cup/mixed drink. I don't think that I spent that much more on the bottles than buying drink per drink. But I do like to drink a lot so that might not have benefited other people who don't drink that much. Splitting $550 for 2 bottles 5 ways was only $110 per piece +tips. Every other night that I didn't do VIP I spent at least $100 on drinks alone....so you know

I read your other post, ya if you don't like "electronic" music (techno is a form of electronic), then some of those clubs may not be as enjoyable as a hip-hop club. But I love electronic music especially if an awesome DJ is spinnin' and those clubs attract really hot girls, not saying that those others don't because I didn't go to them, but I thought each club I went to was awesome!
clubs were packed, the girl to guy ratio was nice! they were all classy...I can't wait to go back there

Fair enough. Rain really is a hotspot for those who enjoy techno. And Like I said, it really doesn't matter where you go, there all kinds of hot dishes for boys and girls (Unless of course you land at Larry's Villa--the strip club where strippers go to die).. :shake:

Drais (Barbary Coast) is another hot spot, but mainly after hours, which is 3a-8am here. So maybe next time, you can chack that out. The Last time I was there they played alot of techno, so it might be a cool place for you.

In n Out Burger. There is an old school hot dog joint right on the strip, I think it is across the street from the MGM. Old 50's style drive in thing. The city has grown arround the thing. It probably was there when it was still the outskirts and it was a low density development at the time. AWESOME dogs and fries. Check it out if you have time.

The Palms is the happening place if you like em young, at least that is what my friend who lives there says.

3. I'm kinda tired.

Try this: pick up some chicks, rent a limo, stop at a liqour store, drive to Hoover Dam or up into the mountains and "see" Vegas at night.

I'd recommend Hypnotiq with the ladies as it will create good times and good memories. The limo thing is different too...and quite fun.
