Do you drink a day. I'm just curious how much the average midwestern football fan drinks.

I am not a midwesterner, but I did live in Michigan for 9 years, does that count?

You have to start with yourself first

Oh yeah well I'm 23 years old so I am around alcohol every day I drink at least a 12 pack usually 14-15 but were talking natural light here which I consider to be "pussy beer" because it's so watered down.

Shot of Crown Royal dropped into a cold glass of Red Bull. Excellent drink that picks you up instead of bringing you down. I was at the bar watching the Diamondback-Cardinal game.

Another 'bomb' I heard of was california car bomb = vodka, red bull, cranberry juice. I was better off w/o the cranberry...just vodka and bull.

I would think the crown's sweetness combined with the bull would get too sweet, I'll have to do some research.

I thought we had a lot in common, no tequilla to finish off? I do prefer Diet Pepsi though, the Coke is too sweet.

I usually keep an 18 pack of Budlight, sometimes Busch Light and it lasts a couple of weeks.

Snob beer isn't really my thing. I hate Dark Beer.

If I'm drinking, 12 or more beverages. But if I'm not drinking - zero. I don't frequently have a beer or two. It's usually a sixer or more.

That's probably what I was trying to say in my last post.... Though, I'm sure the Arizona/Mexico trip has severely skewed my average this decade.

Great timing! I just got back from a float trip/beer tasting I hosted last weekend. I brought 17 different kinds of beer for camp, and we worked through each type on Friday night, and hit them again on Saturday night. I still ended up bringing back 2 1/2 cases with me.

Here's a shot of the beers in a large rolling tub getting iced down
http://www.drpixel.net/thebeercooler.jpg

For the beer connoisseur, here's a list of the beers that were served:

Schlafly Pale Ale
Schlafly American Lager
Schlafly American Pale Ale
Pyramid Pale Ale
Anchor Foghorn
Anchor Steam
New Belgium Sunshine Wheat
Bilhaven Scottish Ale (Pub cans)
Samuel Smith Oatmeal Stout
Golden Pheasant
Celebrator Doppelbock
Lindemans Kriek Lambic
Goose Island Hexnut Brown Ale
Sierra Nevada Porter
Saison de Pipaix
Rouge Red Ale
Chimay Trappist Ale

Good stuff :BLVD:

While Phil was in town I slipped into my old ways of 12 or so a night... course, we were drinking good beer instead of the shit I used to drink, so those three weeks packed a couple pounds on me. I've been weening myself off since.

Dang, beer inflation finally hit Jeff City? Glad it hasn't hit Rolla. My annual trip back there is so much fun. If I pay 7 or 8 bucks for a pitcher there, it's for premium beer. Out in my neighborhood, if the bar even offers pitchers, it's 7 or 8 for Miller Lite.

No shit. I always view those kind of deals as a challenge to make the establishment lose $40-50 dollars on me. In drinking related news I'll be hitting the 21 within a month. I've taken off that day and the next three days after.

Rolla huh? Bet you've been on your fair share of floats down the Current river. We stayed at Jadwin, but had to drive through Jeff City and Rolla though. The crappiest part of the drive is from KC to Colombia .. I-70 is pretty damn boring.

Dude, at least KC to Columbia you can run 80+. The stretch from Jeff to Rolla on 63 blows... max of 65, occassionally slowing to 35 or so for the bs towns making revenue off of speeding tix.

True, it just seems like it takes forever. We got conned into taking 50 back from Jeff City on the trip back. Big mistake! We got stuck behind all sorts of slow drivers, plus the fact that you have all those towns on the way to KC as well.

HWY 63 has Vichy, Vienna and all those little towns on it, right? If so, I know what you're talking about. One year I think I got lost and passed the exit on 63 that you follow into Jeff City. I ended up taking another highway (42 or something like that?) that seemed to cut that drive in half. I'd love to remember what that road was, because it bypassed all those little towns on the way.

oh man, I'm sorry. For some reason my mom had an affinity for 50. That shit sucks. You add at least 30 minutes on your trip that way.

HWY 63 has Vichy, Vienna and all those little towns on it, right?

yep. At least Vichy only drops the speed limit to 50. Vienna drops to 25, and leaves cops perched right at the sign to nail you. NEVER speed through Vienna. You'll get a ticket every time. Esp if it's the start or end of a semester.

Dang, I wish I had known what you were talking about back then. Now it doesn't matter so much cause I just fly into St Louis and have someone pick me up and drive I-44 into town.

I live on the east coast (Boston) and drink an average of 4 beers a night.....tough not to when you have a Ice Cold keg in a Keg-O-Rator. On the weekends I will knock back 10-15 and the same when watching a Football game, Baseball game, or NASCAR race.

I like my beer.

There is no better feeling in the world, than not feeling anything at all.

I wish I had a picture of this, but when we go to the Races at New Hampshiere raceway for the NASCAR event one of the guys that comes up fills a 250,000 lb. cooler, usually used for comercial fishing, with nothing but beer and ice. Needless to say it is a beautifull sight.

Right now, it's a sixer of Michelobe "Amberbock", a very smooth, tasty dark beer.

Then later my brother and I are going to sample a Merlot and a Cabernet Sauvignon.

We're not wine connoisseurs mind you, but ever since that movie "Sideways", we've sampling some different wines.
