If so, will it be the same? At what point does it become a fortune 500 company?

I wonder what the internet will look like by then. The idea is mind boggling.

it's already been five years and the planet is turning real good, imo...

ten more years shouldn't be a problem...

i just hope to hell that we won't still be waiting for a superbowl win...

In all I honesty I have no idea, I would like to think so. But i don't think people contribute enough monetarily to allow Phobia and AustinChief to continue it forever. Nor do I believe that most people will contribute more just to have more features. This saddens me but this is just how I perceive the Internet community not all Planet members by any means.

No.

The continued presence of one idiot named gochiefs will eventually ruin it for everyone.

It's nice to see that you are proud of how stupid you are.

Why.... are you looking for some kind of warranty/guarantee from them and making sure they will be around to honor it ??

The only guarantee around here is some sarcasm. That is almost money to bank on!

:D

It will be around in some form or fashion. If AustinChief and Phobia decide they can't fund it anymore it will pop up somewhere else. It may not live on in name, but in spirit I certainly believe it will.

The only thing that could "kill" it so to speak would be a giant rift like the Star had. This place has a nice balance, though.

ChiefsCoalition will have a harder road to travel, IMO, because they are held together by their "reporting" as much or more than their group cohesiveness.

NEPA will be around because apples aren't going to be extinct any time soon.

Hopefully one of these days we all have fiber-optic cable running out the back of our heads...

You must have alot of unused space in your brain if you can fit a network card in there.

Indeed. Imagine a giant wearhouse. Inside this giant wearhouse in the center of the structure is one small hampster running inside a wheel.

Well, since our mods are nowhere NEAR as horrible as the ones that ran the Star board, I think we'll be fine.

If the Planet should disappear how do we find the new place? In the past I have just gone to the Mange and looked for a thread about the Planet. Once I found the new place I sent Rainman a PM by pony express and told him about it. We need an "email tree" for such purposes.

That's an interesting subject...a board full of guys with 50,000 posts would be a little disconcerting.

It will exist, except it will be called LosAngelesChiefsPlanet after the team is sold in 2009. They will play at WalMart Field and the stadium/retail outlet will have 5,000 sky-boxes and 23,000 seats.

Apparently ENDelt wanted to save his 50,000 for something special...

With the price of admission comes a hotdog, beer, free oil change and you get to be greeted by Ryan Leaf.

They could have a discount day when the Chargers come to town.... We're slashing prices and your tires!

What i havent heard mentioned is what if the Chiefs fail to maintain a decent team? If the team over the next 5-10 years or so goes back how they were in the 1980's, then attendence will wane and most certainly overall interest in the team will drop. Look at the Royals as an example.

10 years in the future ChiefsPlanet will have evolved into a collective consciousness with the potential for global domination.

Hell, he spent damn near a week posting under some other user ID going from post xxxx9 to xxxx9+1. I think maybe it was 40k. Don't remember for sure. The point is to not hold your breath.

Will the Chiefs have won a Super Bowl in the next ten years?

This place no longer needs the Chiefs for sustenance. It is bigger than the team. :D

I second this opinion. The team was the original catalyst but now it's more.

that answer is a resounding NO!

which is the same word i used when lin elliot missed the field goals because the laces were held in and the Chokes lost.

Damn that was a funny game. Low Score and I bet the COlts were wondering when the Chiefs were actually going to do something

It should be Jerkoff instead of Ghostof

If the Chiefs moved or something, we should change the name to Dumbassery.com or something.

In ten years, instead of rep you'll be able to send people oven-roasted turkey over the internet for good posts.

And flaming bags of e-poo for bad ones.
