Though the guy isnt at the top of his game in MMA anymore.
600+ is pretty good for an old fart.

Is that fairly normal for powerlifters to bounce the bar off their chest like that?

meh...yes and no.
I dont think it would count in a comp. but it would be close.

Either way 600 pounds is impressive. I doubt I could even slow the descent.

I got in a fight with one of his body guards and the first Ultimate Ultimate in Birmingham Alabama when he got his clock cleaned by Don Fry. I held my own too I was surprised they kicked me out considering the fact that is was his bodyguard that jumped the rail and attacked me.

Tank never was a great MMA fighter. Anyone with technique and the ability to take a punch would beat him. Dude isn't a MMA fighter - he's a bar brawler.

Big, strong, mean as f*ck bar brawler :D

Actually, that was pretty clean. That bench would have counted in almost all the competition's i've been to.

Slowing the decent is not that hard for me, but slowing it with anything but my chest is the problem, that would cut me in half, slowing down just long enough to take me name, :p

I like Tank but he's never had the descipline to develop his fighting style. If he did he'd be deadly.

Watching Kemo take him out was the low point IMO.

600 lbs is pretty good. Back when my uncle was still competing he weighed about 205-210 and benched about 525. Not bad for a guy about 5'5"...
