View Full Version : Warfield on Harrison???

There are quotes around which makes it look like Warfield will be covering Harrison this weekend. Why not Hasty? Looks like a big mismatch to me.

I am also wondering how this will pan out. If jq is to be believed, Shaw will see to it that each CB has his own side of the field and wherever Harrison lines up will decide who marks him. Whoever it is, he'll burn us if we don't get a good pass-rush going.

Baptism by fire? His confidence as a starter could get shattered or boosted to an all pro level depending upon this one game. Come to think of it, this game will probably do the same for the whole team.

I'm really starting to think the Chiefs are in total rebuilding mode. They just don't want to admit it publicly. Maybe Carl picked Gun with this in mind. We'll see.

Cormac - we have yet to see a consistent pass rush from our front 4. Look for Harrison to have a big day. God, I hope I'm wrong http://www.ChiefsPlanet.com/ubb/frown.gif

ChiTown: I think the reason for that is because we didnt want to show anything so we kept our pass rush a secret in the preseason. http://www.ChiefsPlanet.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif

Yeah, God forbid that we should let the opposing team know that we can get to their QB. Apparently we also didn't want to show the league how impressive we can be our either side of the ball. http://www.ChiefsPlanet.com/ubb/wink.gif

I was surprised in the Bucs game when Warfield was on Keyshawn Johnson. Keyshawn never had a catch, but I think that King was trying to go to his other receivers more after focusing on Johnson in the other preseason games. I hope he's up to the challenge of covering Harrison, otherwise it's could be a very long day at Arrowhead.

LOL Titus

Chitown, I don't know that we can put enough pressure on them either. Only Jax's patched up line was manhandled from what I have read. But it's still our only hope, otherwise Manning will shred our secondary http://www.ChiefsPlanet.com/ubb/frown.gif Let's hope Chet can go......

ejj, It's a big problem that we open with 2 really really tough games, and then 3 dogfight division games......but if KC can at least keep it competitive in the 2 openers we'll be OK. At least we get to watch a youth movement......... http://www.ChiefsPlanet.com/ubb/eek.gif

With the young players we have, these 2 games will do alot. If we can manage to only lose to Indy and Tenn by a combined 10 points or so, we'll kick the **** out of the Raiders and Chargers, simply because we'll know by then that we have a better team.

If we can beat Indy and keep Tenn close, even better. Personally, I think we can beat Indy. I don't think we can beat Tenn.

I think they'll put Warfield on him and a safety to double, then let Hasty shut out the other WR one on one. I have my doubts whether Hasty could shut down Harrison (he gave up a TD last year, right?), but he should be able toi do so to the #2 quite easily. Doubling Harrison is the way to go too. This would make sense to me.
