I've heard you guys talk about Blue Moon on here, but I've never had it. I saw some while grocery shopping earlier, so I picked some up. Blue Moon Belgian White Belgian-Style Wheat Ale, right? I'm about to try my first one...

Exactly. Why pay higher prices, when cheaper stuff does the same trick. Not too big on Coors light, but I'd definitely drink it if someone had a pitcher of it at their table. Hand me a glass!

Probably why I've heard so much about it being served with an orange slice. I'll have to try at least one glass from tap the next time I go out, whenever that may be.

Heh... i'll admit to having enjoyed a few pete's strawberry blondes. Not a daily drinker, though. Pete's was selling a "brewer's box". Four Wicked Ales, four Rally Cap Ales, and four strawberry blondes. The strawberry blondes made for a nice change of pace every few beers. But, in general, i prefer beer flavored beer.

It costs way too much for me to get drunk off the good stuff unless im at a pub that doesnt overcharge. Light beer serves a purpose.

I drank the f*ck out of Dos XX Amber when I was living in Tucson. My regular bar had it on tap for $3 a pint, two on Sundays.

It was a flipflopped bar. All the premiums on tap, and the cheap domestics only in bottles.

Margaritas really are not among my favorites either. Though it a place can make a good one on the rocks they can be tasty.

Definitly try out some Negro Modelo or Dosequies amber next time your at a mexican joint. Only thing thats bad about them it you can spend more drinking them than your friends are geting loaded on margaritas.

You know if Negro Modelo is the same thing where a German started it? It think it definitly has kinda a similar flavor to some of the Munich beers.

Blue Moon is an American brewed Belgian White Ale (yes I know I am repeating people). It was the first Belsian style beer I ever sampled and I loved it. Now I can't stand the site of it. It is a good "stepping stone" beer for the beer lover and a nice refreshing taste for those who are not. It mixes well with almost any food, including desserts.

chagrin

Best Belgian "white" Ale, in my opinion, is Hoegaarden. Brewed in Belgium and doesn't need a fruit garnish. Almost white in color, it is outstanding.

Keg Blue Moon is okay, Hoegaarden out of a keg, not so much. There's something about getting the sediment from the bottom and swirling into the beer, that I like the best.
