I have never seen a jersey like this. This is claimed to be an alternate away jersey. I think it is awesome. Opinions?

Too much tradition. I like that us and the Raiders have gone through the years with very minimal uniform change. We don't need these arena football looking jerseys.

I don't think the NFL would let us wear that jersey. It's white on one side, red on the other. I've never seen the NFL allow two whites or two colored jerseys on the field at the same time... and you couldn't avoid it with that jersey. I could be wrong though.

Have you read the "Who is the biggest Chiefs planet member" thread?

It is hard enough for a fat guy to keep BBQ stains off the front of a standard jersey. To design a new style and make the entire drop zone area white is not a good idea for the readers of this board.

The Rams changed their unis after winning the Super Bowl when it looked like they could start a dynasty, and haven't won one since.

Ok, they are an exception. I mean they were always in the basement of the league. Lets look at the past SB winners New England, Baltimore, St.Louis, Tampa Bay, Denver all changed their uniforms and logos, and they all won the bowl. The Chiefs have to do something, they have to change their uniforms, and logos. Or else, I tell ya, they ain't gonna win. So, we must do this! I tell ya, we must do this or were doomed! This will be the reason why the Kansas City Chiefs wont win a Superbowl. Ain't that right KCTitus?:D ;)

St. Louis didn't change their unis until after they won. And Baltimore had to have new unis, they were a "new" team. Tampa Bay changed their uniforms years before they won.

A year or two ago when the NFL approved teams having a third jersey, Lamar said in an interview that the Chiefs will never take the field in an alternate.

Kinda off the topic, but is Lamar also against the "throwback" unis that other teams occasionally break out? I know the Chiefs' basic design, other than wider trim around the numbers, hasn't really changed so the point is moot, but I'm curious as to whether he refuses to do it.

Actually, I much prefer doing nothing than dressing your players in some of those God-awful things the Lions and Packers wear. (Those guys in Green Bay must feel like geeks wearing bug light bulbs on their heads.)

The alternate jersey color is something the NFL came out and said "okay, if you want, your team can have one alternate color jersey".

Whereas, with throwback, the league says "this is throwback weekend, everyone wears throwbacks". I don't see Lamar minding that as much, since Chiefs jerseys over the last 40 years have basically looked the same to all but the discerning eye.
