Finally finished my truck, 2+ years later.... It's a 2000 GMC Sierra LWB with the 4.8l V8. 2/4 drop, K&N cool air intake, Gibson headers, hybrid dynomax/flowmaster 3" single exhaust, and a 3.90 gear with powertrax locking diff. Bought the Diablosport tuner to correct the speedo, and it actually did miracles for the engine and transmission tune. Tow/Haul mode is now break your neck mode, barks the tires in 2nd. Not bad for an otherwise stock, heavy truck. It's my shop truck (that's my story and I'm sticking to it).

I forgot to mention the hidden hitch, you flip the license plate down, and there is a standard reciever there. Still tows a boat fine..

let me know if you ever want to run a blower/intercooler all under the hood. I have a good POC (relative) at ATI (ProCharger)..

ROFL It is still sad though, they probably cut it up.

Probably. When I got off my ass and put some time into it - the Yukon looked as good as that truck. Maybe not quite that good because that black paint really sets off a wax job, but I liked that ride. Expected to have it for many years. I still can't get a call back from the insurance company. I might be on the hook for that.

Are they still in blue springs?

Since this is going to be a daily driven street car I'm going with the Kenne Belle twin screw. If you could get me a deal on one of those, I'd kiss you ROFL

The ProCharger is great for strip only cars, but they make all thier HP at the upper RPM range, and the 4.6 is not very forgiving if you push it past 6000 rpm. The rods are the weak point. The package Kenne Belle has for the 99-03 2V 4.6 is just amazing. For about $6k you can blow a 2003 cobra in the weeds (unless the 2003 cobra has a KB upgrade).

I have $9k in my car, clean 2000 coupe with 3.73 gears, 5 speed, leather, Eibach springs, and well taken care of. So figure for $15k I should have a car knocking on the 11 sec. zone, and 0-60 should be right around the 4.0 flat zone.

they're in Lenexa (119th and Strangline roughly).
in my limited expertise (I'll leave that to my relative), I believe the ProCharger blowers are impeller driven and not screw; and I believe they don't use any kind of COG (sp?) belt driven, just a tension pulley.

All of it is under the hood; sleeper. All you hear is the 'whirl' sound at RPM. I think my brother's car yielded a pretty good gain straight out of the box. I think he prepped for the blower by installing a better manifold, and Dart head w/roller rocker arms, etc.

Anyway; a fairly 'inexpensive' accessory given the results. I think his best time was like 12.2 (didn't want to go much under that as it would necessitate a roll cage I think - at least at KCIR)
