If your gonna watch the bad new royals you have to have a case of beer(or two) and a beer bong.
For every run one of our pictures gives up you bong a beer.
Every error=2 beers
Blown save=3 beers
Loss=4beers
So tonight you would have bonged about 26 beers. That is the only way to watch the Royals. They should loan out beer bongs at the stadium-at least the fans might stay around. Maybe in between innings play some porn on the giant screen. If not porn show major league-maybe that will pump up our sorry players. WILD THING!!!

We were at the game, right behind first base dugout.

After Angel Uh-oh-a flubbed one in the 8th, I just laughed when he dropped the fly in the 9th. The one that pissed me off was the Chip Ambres fuggup in Left field.

11 in the 9th, unreal.

Angel Uh-Oh-a needs to be sent to minors. His defense sucks.

Just when I thought the franchise couldn't sink any lower, they all grab a shovel and reach China in a mere 1/2 inning of work.

Nice job fella's!

Things that would happen today if I were in charge.
1.Baird would be fired. He's had more than enough time.
2.Berroa would be released. Yes released.
3.Affeldt and Sisco would join the starting rotation
4.Lima and Long would be released. Diaz and Howell brought back up.

Would any of it really matter? Of course not. This team has flat lined and will be lucky to win 15 games the rest of the year.

Go Royals :deevee:

It's the curse of Denkinger. :)

Seriously, as a Cardinal fan, I wish the Royals were a better ball club. It makes Missouri baseball much more fun.

I really think KC made a huge mistake when they refused to join the NL Central a few years ago and let the Brewers join instead. The rivalry between the 2 clubs would have been good for 9 sold out crowds in each ball park.

Further, Glass is not an owner who cares about winning. Hell, WalMart has more money than God. If they wanted a winning ball club they could have it after the next off season FA signing period.

Or did you blame Lamar Hunt for the Chiefs record last year, too?

Baird is the one who make personel decisions, Glass just writes the checks.

I know GLass can't catch the ball for those minor leaguers, but thats the problem. The Royals don't even have quality minor leaguers to bring up. The intire organization is a laughing stock and an embarrisement
to professional sports franchise's.

My hunch David Glass is going to move the franchise to Las Vegas with
in a couple of years and then crank the $$$ into the team. Just a hunch
on my part. But it seems like their is some verbage in the contract
that Glass has to keep the Royals in KC because of Mr. Kauffman
included that into the contract. But shirley Mr.Kauffman could understand David Glass wanting to move the Royals. The move
would probably increase the value of the Royals by 50% in one year. Then with FIve years Glass cold unload the team and make a HUGE Profit. Its the Walmart way right. Hire all the cheap part time folks,
sell cheap products to people. Then when the Walmart Building (depreciation) wares off for tax purposes, they go put up a new building
or a new Walmart Super Center that can be depreciated out again.

I too wish the Royals would have joined the NL Central. It would have been a perfect fit...Royals-Cubs-Cardinals -Brewers-Houston-Twins.

This was the most quality choke job I think I've ever seen. This took "skill." Before when the Royals would make mistakes I'd just say hey, they're young, they're gonna have growing pains in between the good moments......... but that dropped fly ball and the stupid shit that happened thereafter was nothing but unadulterated shitty no-talent baseball.

I've never really been embarrassed to be a Royals fan before but hey..... at least we finally got some quality time on SportsCenter....

My concerns me is why does Allard Baird get a free pass in this city/media while if CP wipes his ass wrong people want him fired.

Baird has to be the worst GM in MLB.

I don't think that he is the worst GM. His hands are tied by payroll so he has almost no margin for error. Put Brian Cashman of the Yankee's in Baird's place and you will get a similar result. That being said, Baird shouldn't get a free pass and it sounds like the media is starting to get on him more than in the past.

The reason CP gets hammered more than Baird is because the NFL is more of a level playing field and the Chiefs still haven't done anything. CP is defensive and abrasive to the media and they respond in kind. Baird is personable and an underdog, so he relates to people better than Peterson.

Last nights game was an embarrassment. If I was in charge I would send every person who played poorly to the minors for at least a week. I'd tell them that if they are going to play like minor leaguers then that is where they should be. I'd make them earn their jobs back. As an organization I would apologize to fans and discount tickets for the rest of the season (give season ticket holders a credit on their account).

Yes but you can only hold them accountable for so long. I mean Bell got them playing good for a while and they slumoed back down. That is very indicative or suck-ass players. And no matter how long you give them they will continue to be suck-ass.

It isn't like it's Jeter going through a slump or something.

Don't take this the wrong way, but you're an idiot.

Oakland, Minnesota, Cleveland, Detroit... they've all gone through this. If we don't show significant improvement next season, I'll start calling for heads. But we're 3/4 of a season into this. Most of these guys are < 25 years old, and a lot of them have < 2 years of experience in the major leagues. It takes time.

That being said, if Berroa is playing shortstop opening day next year, something isn't right. The guy is a joke.

So yeah, it's an insult to the Twins, just like your posts are an insult to beings with opposable thumbs.

My biggest problem besides Baird is that these young guys have all but quit on the season. Now that is problem considering these will be the same guys playing next year as well. It is not like having a bunch of veterans out there dogging it who we could get rid of. Our young guys have bascially quit.
