in the morning going through wichita to see some classmates and then hitting the pike up to Emporia and then on to KC for the Great Wolf Lodge

From Emporia to Wichita:

I-35 (Toll Road) to Wichita.
When getting into Wichita, Take the I-135 exit #42 to South Wichita (I-235)/(US-81).

Merge into I-135 N
Take the I-235 exit #1C Merge into I-235 N

Take the US-400 W/US-54 W exit #7B, Bear right at W Kellogg Ave. Continue on US-400/US-54 for at least 75 miles.

Take the KS-154/US-400 ramp and Continue on US-400 to Dodge City for at least 33 miles.

Emporia to KC Great Wolf Lodge.

I-35 to Kansas City

Take the I-435 W exit #222B

I see 2 different Great Wolf Lodge. Not sure what are the differences in each, so I really can't help you much. Hopefully someone else can answer this better than I can. But both of them are close to the I-435.

I don't think there is anything that would be a cause of concern, when you get in the KC area, especially at 435.

Oh, on I-35, from, somewhere North of a town called Lebo, there is a construction going on, which stretches from somewhere south of the Beto Junction up to Waverly. So you may want to plan a little extra time there perhaps.
