Unreal version of it, but the original still is the best.

Stern 'jumped the shark' with his Private Parts movie.

I about died listening to Beet in his 'low voice.'

Someone brought up cocaine, and Beet busts out with;

"Some cocaine and a lady, that's some good exercise."

WTF!!! Talk about you idiot savants.

I tried to listen to Howard Stern one day. IIRC, it was the morning he announced Hedberg's death. Read it on here, then figured I'd listen on the way to work to see if he said more.

My drive to work is a half-hour. I listened to commercials the whole way. Whoo-boy, that's entertaining.

Meh?

You got Beet, wearing chaps, cowboy vest, cowboy hat and no pants or skivvies, drunk and in high spirits, sitting there calling Stain'd his buddies while they sing his 'bad as can' song, and cracking himself up with his 'voices.' That's comedy GOLD!!!

That's probably your local provider. Howid generally gets the same 7 minute break all the other morning shows get here in St. Louis. We've been spoiled by The Point, who runs the whole show every day and never adds their own bleeping.

It could be the local affiliate for me as well...the Stern Show commercial sets seem to be closer to nine minutes in Tampa...

Only when I hear the crappy song "No One ever is to blame" on the Muzak when I'm eating out.

Beetle was great today. I love that little guy. The pics on the website were hilarious. Have you heard High Pitch talk in a low voice? Scarey!

BL are you making the switch to Sirius in Jan.? I was going to wait until X-mas to get a radio but I've heard Sirius has really good NFL coverage so I'll probably buy one sooner.

We get some pretty long commercial breaks here in Dallas as well. He takes longer breaks but he goes a long time w/o breaks too. In a couple of months he won't be taking any or at least not many breaks.

I figured that was how it worked. I just assumed I timed my drive to work poorly.

In Detroit, my commute was 1.75 hours each way and each commercial break was 10-13 minutes. One almost has to have a very forgiving employer, so you can listen to it there - or a long commute like that.

Anyone remember when Beet's agent called Howard from the hotel room where and while Beet was banging a prostitue? Apparantly she was hot too, per his agent. It was gross but so freaking hilarious!!

I heard that call. Judging from the girls I've seen on Beet's website, I doubt she was hot.

Well, that's true, but the visual of him banging away on some hooker, with the manager sitting there talking to howard, the her talking to howard while he's banging...was hilarious, and gross

When that one porn star started crying after having sex with Jeff Curro, I teared up myself. :(

Here in the Bible belt, all we get is John Boy and Billy. Not bad but I miss Howard. I've been a fan of his for many years, way before his movie. I listen to it when I travel in markets that have it but it's not the same.

Dig your avatar, btw...tho I'm not as big a fan of Beetlejuice as you are. Must admit that song is insanely catching.

Anyway, I don't know about the whole satellite radio thing. I like Stern's show well enough, for all it's faults--it's still the best thing going on morning drive. I'm probably in the minority in that I believe the show got better after Artie Lange took over the sidekick chair. For myself, I most likely won't get Sirious after the exodous to satellite. If the Don & Mike Show were to leave terrestrial radio for Serius--with Stern, the NFL and DnM, I might reconsider...
