i've played it a bunch of times...good ole oak grove!

it's a pretty long track, lots of uphill sections....

you'll see a few approaches where the green is 50 feet above you..

fun course though

I need it to have some holes that are 60 yards to the right to compensate for my slice.

you won't find many of those...

when i played it last, it played really tough...that could have to do w/ my 1.5 year sabbatical from playing a ton of golf

Worked there summers, for four years in high school, back in the early 80's. Loved that course. It used to be a longer track then, than it was the last time I played it ~4 years ago. They shortened up number 10 a lot. CRIMINAL! It was originally a 584 yard par 5 (not the longest on the course either) where you would drive down a narrow lane between woods and water, then have to negotiate a creek in front of an elevated green with sand on left on right.

Lots of panoramic views on the course as it lies straddle of a creek valley. It's got two par 4s #11 and 12 that lie side by side across the valley. They are nearly identical in length and have elevated tees and greens on opposite banks of the valley. #12 always seemed to play about 50 yards shorter for some reason.

I believe they have also taken out some of the sand traps. Used to have traps on 15 of the 18 holes.

Front nine plays a LOT easier than the back. Players would come in with 10 stroke differences between front and back.

Number 17 is a sweet 180 yard par three with water on three sides and a sand trap on the other, hitting from an elevated tee across a creek down to the green on the flat.

Ah the memories of youth.

Played it once, when we had our 1st 37 Forever golf event,. It was OK, nothing fancy or too tough.

As a 4 man, we shot 2 under par. Keep in mind, I had my oldest son who had never golfed, my stepfather who hadn't played but 12 times in 10 years and III. I had my work cut out for me that day.

17 is a really neat hole...kind of an island hole for people that can't play the tpc at sawgrass

Watch out for pervs mooning you from the green on your approach shot.

Phobia should be able to elaborate on my initial post.

I wouldn't recommend it for a few reasons. They didn't treat us very well, IMO. I won't play there again.
