I am a little disturbed that Bell hasn't participated in full contact drills at all this preseason.

How bad is Bell's back? It seems like it's never mentioned as a big deal, but if he isn't practicing in pads at all, then it's probably worse than I realized.

That is quite disturbing. His injury might be more serious then they're letting on.

He is practicing in pads. They just take him out during the hard contact stuff. As an example, a regular over at Chiefscoalition that went to RF said that when he was watching, Bell usually stayed in during the 7 on 7 (passing) drills, but Fox took his place during the 9 on 7 (running) drills.

So, I guess the injury prone label may have some truth to it after all....

He's fine.. I'm not worried (yet).. if it was a big deal, he wouldn't be on the field at all!

He doesn't have to prove anything to me.. IF he is healthy.. he's a beast, end of story

This will be good for Key to run with the first teamers.. it will be fun to compare him and DJ and see how they stack up..

I'm so freaking pumped!

I don't think anyone expected Bell to play a complete 16 game season anyway, so Fox might as well get some playing time with the first team at full speed. We'll see if he can do better than last year with full contact.

If he is injured, I do expect them to be honest about it.

Not to worry IMO, I think they use the injury excuse to save proven players for games that count. I do not buy most of these injuries.

It's funny how Fox is all of a sudden higher on the depth chart than Fujita. It would've been nice to see him get a chance last year instead of watching Fooj continue to miss tackles while trying to play through his injury.

There should be a lot more players sitting then.

I guess Gun thought he wasn't ready or was even worse than a hobbled Fujita or hobbled Beisel or Fred Jones. That's why I'm not quite jumping on the Fox bandwagon yet. Lots of guys look good in practice.

I've got a slightly sprained ankle, but I would list myself as certain for the game. When it comes time to head for the sports bar, I suck it up and spectate through the pain.

I wish the whole damn first team would sit! The Vikings are a bunch of pricks that have put a Chief out the last two years in the stupid preseason scrimage.

Sorry, but when you're trying to blend together a bunch of guys who are new to each other and new to the defensive style, I don't see how you can "save" guys for the games that count...

They need some experience playing together now....

That's a good point.
I hope he's ready for the 3rd preseason game, at least, which is the game that they use to really tune up for the regular season.
